"The bungalow is wonderfully spacious and was immaculate. A great plus point was the conservatory which was warm even in February when the sun shone on the back garden. We had afternoon tea in there each day. It is situated in the st Helen area of Hastings so some way from the sea front but has the great bonus of on site parking. We walked down to the main area each day through residential streets which were quite run down. The area where the bungalow is situated however is very nice Hastings itself is a bit shabby but the old town is lovely. The new pier is very impressive and the promenade walk wonderful. You can walk miles along it through st Leonard’s to Bexhill on sea which we enjoyed. It was a bit of a struggle at the end of the walk having to climb uphill for 1.5 miles back to the bungalow and it was no small hill. We did find it better to drive to Galley hill about 1 mile from the centre of Bexhill where you can park all day for free on De La Warr Terrace with fabulous views of the sea. You can walk either way for miles on the promenade and it’s perfectly flat, thus avoiding that long walk uphill at the end of the day. The weather the previous week had been very wet so the Hastings nature reserve was a horrendous mud bath. We couldn’t stand upright on some of the paths it was so bad. - what a pity. The bungalow made it a very quiet relaxing break -very enjoyable."

"Fabulous week spent in the autumn sun at the Hayloft. All appliances, furnishings and fittings are great quality and the presentation in the cottage is excellent.Everything you could want is provided; very well equipped kitchen, fluffy towels, rainfall shower. .... The finish is that of a 5* hotel! The view from the garden is amazing and peaceful. Beautiful to watch the sunrise with your morning coffee! To say it is a working farm it is still very quiet. The occasional "moo"!The location is good too. About 20 mins from Hastings. Local pubs The White Hart and The Squirrel do very good meals and are very dog friendly. It is equally nice to have a night in though. I imagine on cooler nights the log burner makes it very cosy. I could go on and on! This little cottage is an absolute gem. I would love to visit again ...if it isn't fully booked! Thank you for a lovely week! Louise, Gary and Ollie.PS. Sorry we couldn't leave a note in the guest book! We didn't have a pen!"

"Beautifully furnished and brilliantly equiped holiday cottage.Cottage has a large patio which was very welcome in the hot weather we had during our stay. The living room is airy and comfortable with a 40 inch flat screen smart tv. Wifi is very reliable and more than sufficient for streaming Netflix.Kitchen has every utensil you need for cooking and has all the modcons even a dishwasher which was most welcome.Bedroom has a large comfy bed and the attached wet room with over head shower is great. The cottage is located close to many south coast attrations such as Hastings, Eastbourne, Rye, Beachy Head, Seven Sisters and Brighton.Nearby Battle village has a number of nice places to eat and has a station within 1 hours train ride to London.Set in peaceful country side it is a great place to unwind after a days sightseeing and to take strolls around the vecinity and farm itself. All in all we had a wonderful stay and would recommend to all."

"A lovely, dog friendly cottage, set in the Sussex countryside. It is on the A21 but wasn't aware of any traffic news. Easy to find and a warm welcome from the owners. Having 2 dogs of the same breed as the owners is always a good start. Dogs need to be on a lead in the farm area but there are fields immediately behind the cottage where they can run free. There is a walled off courtyard outside the cottages where again the dogs can roam so you don't have to worry if the dog slips out of the cottage door. Cottage is delightful and very well equipped, headroom in the bedroom is limited but managed to avoid smacking my head (I am 6') throughout the stay. comfy chairs and a very comfy bed. Queens Arms PH is walking distance, dog friendly and does good food too (Best to book a table) Good central location for visiting towns and villages."

"We have been going to Hastings for 20 years and this is the best place we have stayed. Fantastic view of the beach, central location, close to amenities such as food and clothes shopping, arcades, cliff rides/walk and only a short walk to the old town. The apartment itself was amazing. It was very clean and homely with lots of extras such as a little bag of toiletries for each person and a bag with hot chocolate sachets and special biscuits and Hastings Lemon Ketchup. There were plenty of towels and even flannels were provided. I gage how comfortable I am in a holiday let by whether I would walk around bare foot and my shoes were off the minute we walked in the door. Some days we didn't go out until the afternoon because we were so comfortable in the apartment, watching tv, reading or looking at the view."
