"ACCOMMODATION5/525 Fox Plus Lodge was perfect. There was only two of us and the dog, but the lodge had a bathroom and a shower room, along with three bedrooms to sleep six. Very good lodge. Large kitchen/diner with the usual appliances, including a Tassimo coffee machine. Tea/coffee/milk on arrival and two dishwasher tablets. Kitchen included a large fridge, a large freezer, a washer/dryer and a dishwasher. Living room with freeview and a DVD player. Two bedrooms with two singles in each. Walk in wardrobes in both. Bathroom with overhead shower (the better shower of the two) and toilet. Main bedroom with double bed and en-suite. En-suite also had a shower. All rooms had a TV with Freeview. Lots of cupboard and drawer space in all rooms. The decked hot tub area was very private. I imagine in Summer it would be more private when there are leaves on the trees. Bath robes provided. Just outside the decked area there was also a BBQ and large wheely bin.CLEANLINESSOverall - 3/5The accommodation was very clean, but bathrooms were slightly hairy, with extractors needing a good dust. Nothing major, but when paying the big bucks the small details are important."

"We stayed at S6973 for a family get together and we were very impressed when we arrived. The photos do not do this place justice. The house itself was a perfect size for our party of 9 though more people could have fitted in without a squash. It was spotlessly clean and the underfloor heating kept us lovely and warm. It has been maintained and decorated to a high standard with little extras to make it feel more homely. It is one of three converted barns situated in a courtyard. The other thing I wanted to mention was how helpful Susan (I'm sorry if I've got your name wrong),the lady who owns it was. Offering to help us to arrange things while we were there. The barn itself is in a great location for visiting Leek and it is possible to walk or drive to a beautiful reservoir that is nearby. There is also a pub only a 5 minute walk away which we were told does excellent food. It had a lovely atmosphere. Overall I can't recommend this place enough. Thanks for a memorable stay!"

"Cottage was in need of a good clean and lots of TLC. The garden was in poor condition, overgrown and no love given to it! Weeds and leaves not been touched since winter, decking a health hazard, tables broken and dirty and not able to sit out and enjoy sun during our stay, bbq is unhabitable, jacuzzi was not working the second day. Inside the house however was fairly clean, the beds were extremely clean and comfortable, Windows need good clean, showers work well and the size of property was a bonus, party room was fab, including the decs and LPs we had a good time, space raiders and machine not working and both took money entered.Overall we did have a good time but for money paid would have expected the garden to be a lot better and use able, if the above were looked at then I 100% would return as it is in a lovely location"

"The accommodation was fine although some of the furniture was slightly dated and in need of a clean. The bedrooms were lovely but could have done with for storage space. That would apply to the kitchen as well. Unfortunately there was an issue with the sewerage pipes outside. On two occasions they had a blockage causing it to leak out of the manhole cover. Talking to the guy who came to fix the problem, he mentioned that this has happened before. With four young children with us, this was obviously a big concern. The location of the accommodation was excellent and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would certainly consider coming back."

"Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Used as a base to explore the peak district. Ample space for 6 people. Unsure of the need for two kitchens but the cottage could be used as two separate cottages for 4 and a 2. The downstairs shower room is large but shower itself was poor. Loved the underfloor heating but struggled to heat the living room to a comfortable temperature. Kitchen was well stocked with utilities and the washer/dryer came in very handy after set and muddy walks. We were unable to get the tv working as no channels were on the tv but we happily settled for dvds and uno. Overall a wonderful stay and highly recommended. Thank you"
