"We arrived after a long journey from the UK on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, the owner met us and as we started to walk round the property we noticed the lake next door had several jet skis being used very close to the property we were in, the owner never said anything about them, we were hot and tired and never thought to question the noise. After being shown around the owner departed with the words I will be back next Saturday for you to pay your tourist tax and 45 Euro electric charge, no meter reading here then!During the show round we were told to turn the water to the washing machine on only when in use as there was a small leak.We were unable to sleep in the large loft room due to the heat and the owner said if we slept up there we would need to keep the windows closed as there were lots of mosquitoes and he had not bought a fan yet, we ended up in a small bedroom downstairs cramped in a small double, but at least the air con unit downstairs kept it cool enough.Unpacked and went to sit by the beautiful lake with a cuppa, only to find the jet ski's still on the go with at least four roaring past us belching fumes for the next four hours! We sat it out and eventually the noise stopped and we had a very pleasant evening on the terrace with our food and drink. There is no taking it away from the place it is beautiful and our dog had the run of the place.I had noticed mould on the kitchen drainer and also dead insects squashed on the walls and had a good old clean round the next day, I am not a clean freak but it was grubby.Sunday morning came and yes the jet ski centre started all over again, four solid hours of feeling like we were at silver stone. Oh well maybe in the week it would not be a problem. No it wasn't but the gravel pit behind the property was in operation, it not as loud but was always there in the background. Also a man with a digger was digging up trees on the property boundary.I put a small load of washing on and went off to make breakfast, an hour later I discovered a flood in the shower room where the washing machine was located. turned the water off and cleaned up.The owners solution was to ring me and tell me not to wash anything! We moved into a B and B by Thursday. This could be an amazing place with TLC and if you are made aware beforehand that it is not tranquil all the time. Take your own bedding and pillows would also be my advice."

"Despite the fact that we have chosen this location because of the break, we had a different picture of the environment than we found. The location of the house and the amenities were definitely good, and the hospitality of Leo was very welcoming and friendly. Thanks to him we have during our vacation a few highlights polite, The area is not touristy village is focused on the people and there is little to no entertainment on (reasonable) bike. The Lac du Der offers a small number of sports activities, but you should also know how to get to the respective provider. The beaches around the lake were our best against them were very small and boring, but safe for the little ones. With our son 14 and daughter of six, we have an afternoon in the trees played Accroder at Giffaumont-Champobert on the lake. Beautiful tree climbing and very challenging! That was one of the highlights for the kinderen.Verder we rented a small boat. The manageress was very friendly and we have two hours on the lake around dangers. Please note that two hours is not enough! Much peace, so much space, not a cloud in the sky, the water like a mirror that was a very special ochtend.Troyes is definitely worth a visit."

"We had a wonderful holiday, and it was just summer, 25 degrees and more and this in April !! Everything was there which led to a nice vacation, a good dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, electric blankets on the bed, mosquito nets (not always present in a holiday home), nice magazines, information about the area, good beds, plenty of garden furniture, bicycles! (Usually not present), lots of nice kitchenware, ... We had all the luxuries "packaged" in a nice, cozy French house where authenticity was preserved (heeeel important to us) .We go on holiday in France for years, but this is still one of the best, maybe the best holiday we ever had logeerden.Ook receipt by Leo very hot, lots of info, you feel instantly welcome in his house, Leo is very proud of his house, ( go !!), he really wants to have his "guests" can fully enjoy their holiday. The house is in a beautiful location, 100 meters from the forest, with a fully enclosed garden, our two dogs had a fantastic time. The original house do you really dream, old shutters (but still perfectly do their work), the floor boards, beautifully waxed, the fun stuff and old furniture, nice old jars of d"

"We had a great holiday in Jagée. We visited the local markets, hiked to the Lac du Der (what a beautiful area!) Tasted at a champagne house and purchased and viewed several towns and villages. Montier-en-Der are some fun and simple restaurants. There are also two bakeries, butchers and some supermarkets. Everything you need is there. Also there is a very good clinic which unfortunately we needed for our four-legged friend. Our dog is infected (despite good sign protection) with the Babesia virus which is caused by a tick. Babesia is a serious disease with a very high temperature (41 degrees). The vet in Montier-en-Der has directly treated him and made every effort to inform our veterinarian in the Netherlands well. All praise for this clinic. Now it's wait and see if our dog comes on top. I tell this to, if necessary. prospective dog owners to warn your dog daily to check on good sign! Further, we have since witnessed a huge storm. We are in the Netherlands also quite used but as it was racing there was unprecedented. Outside it was pitch black. It was windy. Very spooky! The lights went on and off for about fifteen minutes. Then"

"We rented this house in the spring to take a slip from the drukte.Het cottage is a great house with all necessary conveniences voorzien.De area we found initially a bit disappointing, considering there was not much bigger towns in the area. But all the more not less, it is a beautiful area where you can walk. Contact with the owner was excellent, after we have had a small technical problem is solved excellent and we could continue to enjoy our rust.Helaas our vacation terminated early by a private circumstance to thuisfront.Kortom the cottage is an absolute must for those who seek tranquility. even the locals are extremely friendly and helpful. The path (old railway line) that runs along the cabin in the woods is a must to ride with a car (provided you have a suitable breastplate) you will return time by bos.Wij have fond memories of this place partly because This last trip was with our dog Morris."
