"We have rented self-catering properties for many years of different sizes and throughout the country. We booked this because of its proximity to a wedding we were attending and also the fact that it permitted pets. Because of the price we anticipated this would mean an element of luxury - but unfortunately this was not the case. The welcome pack was the best aspect . The property is adequate but we did feel it needed some updating and TLC to bring it to a level which warranted the price. Ie. The carpets and towels are worn and need replacing. Kitchen table was wobbly. The sliding door had a damaged lock/handle and the simple lock on the front door both gave us concern for security. There was no full-length mirror anywhere and other items were missing/need- we listed them at the propertyThe two smaller bathrooms need some redecoration/TLCInstructions needed for use of the cooker. The outside courtyard needed tidying and sweeping.S81716 was pleasant enough but overpriced and we would not use it again.Sorry"

"S41692 is a lovely warm and cosy cottage that was very well equipped for our stay over Christmas. However the only shower had no hot water and whilst attempts were made to fix it, this didn't happen. A small refund was made to us but on reading a previous review it would seem that Snaptrip already knew this was a problem before we arrived. it would have been good to have been warned and some alternative set up in the upstairs bathroom. In addition the smaller sofa has a broken leg and there's no lock on the bathroom door; all details that should be sorted for the money paid, and the general high standard of the rest of the house. I also think mention should be made that the internet is so slow as to be non-existent and there is no mobile phone signal. If the shower had been hot and the internet usable, I would have rated S41692 5 stars."

"The property smells damp. The furnishings and fittings are quite shabby and not in a good way. Needs alot of investment to bring it up to scratch. This is an expensive let and whilst the outside of the property is lovely, the inside smells and needs seriously smartened up. We only used two rooms because my daughter was quite spooked by the miserable bedrooms, the kichen needs smartened up with new appliances and crockery and cutlery. It all feels slightly second hand - kind of old stuff you'd get rid of if it was in your own house. We couldn't communicate with anyone because connections so bad. Couldn't even hear over the payphone. Housekeeper replaced that with old yellowed phone which you wouldn't want to touch. I paid over £2000 for 10 days - wouldn't have stayed there for free if I was offered again. Was glad to get home."

"We were disappointed that this wasn't quite up to the standards we expected. For example, some mugs and casseroles dishes were dirty. It was not as well equipped as we are used to, for example there were no pan lids, no scissors, no instructions for the oven, (which proved difficult to work out) and limited crockery. Only one of the night store heaters worked, however, the owner did leave us with a couple of electric heaters to compensate. There were also leaks under the sink and in the toilet. The decor, linen and towels were 'tired'. All in all it was expensive for what was offered. I've texted the owner with some suggestions for improvement as he was on holiday during our stay."

"A cosy little holiday chalet, perfect for myself and my teenager. Kitchen facilities all fine, bathroom/shower clean and good hot water. Lots of thought and effort has gone in to making the chalet homely and well equipped. TV had Freeview which was ok but a little wearing after a while - poor weather kept us indoors for a good chunk of the stay. WiFi extremely intermittent- but free. The access road was dreadful - so full of extreme potholes and speedbumps. It actually started to put me off going out by the end of the trip! I didn’t want to damage my car. Lovely view, lots of good shops, supermarkets, garages, attractions etc. and great area for exploring."
