"Place is Beautiful with really nice Surroundings. We stayed in the Greystoke premier lodge number 7. The Hot tub is an added bonus but is not private at all as next door were always looking over and It has no shelter. The flies were horrendous inside the lodge there were hundreds and we couldn't get rid of them. We complained once but was given a bottle of fly spray and told everybody has the same problem,in the end we had to keep all doors and windows closed and buy a fly swatter but they still seemed to re-appear. Very Frustraiting especially when cooking etc. The lodge itself was very cosey and had most things you would need for a short break but was a tad dated. The bushes at the front of the lodge next to the balcony was so over grown and looks a mess and doesn't help with the flies. You miss so much of the beautiful view because of this which is a huge shame. The shower in one bathroom kept going hot and cold when using it this is when we also noticed the Gas Service was a month out of date which was abit concerning. Overall it's a beautiful place,if we stayed again I would be more inclined to stay in a total different lodge and possibly sacrifice the view for a better lodge. Plenty of things to do around if you have a car."

"If the lodge had been brand new then I would definitely rate it 10 but unfortunately there were a few issues - a door missing from a kitchen cupboard & at least 5 of the blinds were broken or the cords were damaged etc. There were lots of flies in the lodge when we arrived so it was a bit off-putting that the door was missing as it was a cupboard we had to store food in. There was a can of fly spray under the kitchen sink so it must be an ongoing problem. The kitchen worktop had sauce stains on it - I can only assume this was from the previous customer but on the whole the lodge was clean. We had to make a call to out of hours on our night of arrival as one of the gas hobs, the grill and gas oven wouldn't ignite. This was resolved by having to light with a match each time which were provided by a member of staff. Slightly inconvenient but overall nothing that would prevent our return."

"Lodge was very depressing to stay in as it had no view apart from the backs of a row of several other lodges - seemed like staying at the barracks of an army base. There was NO privacy whatsoever, not in the lodge or on the decking outside. Lodges very close together and we were unfortunate enough to have a very noisy family with 4 kids staying in the lodge next to us. NOT relaxing at all. Expect to hear swarms of crows during the entire night - we used our earplugs to get to sleep. Nowhere to walk from from the park as it is in the middle of nowhere with no proper/public walking paths. Civilisation is 15 min away by car. We have stayed in many lodges all over the UK and this was by far the worst stay of all."

"The lodge was to die for! Very clean. I could live in it quite easily. Very high quality fixtures and fittings and had everything we needed and more. Very comfortable beds, lots of TV channels, etc. Free Wi-Fi was available but limited. Perhaps if I had paid for it, it would have been better. Overall we loved the lodge. Best one we've ever stayed in.If I was to make one criticism, it would be that the site did not have a play park, even a basic one. Whilst we like the fact there wasn't entertainment etc on the site, which made it a lovely quiet retreat, I think a play park would have been great for the kids, and would fit in with the ethos of this site."

"Lovely lodge overlooking lovely scenery. Lodge had everything you would need. Separate shower cubicle. Double bed was comfortable Had grassy area to the side where you could also sit as it got very hot on the decking at times but not complaining. Lovely hot tub which was the reason for picking this lodge as some of the lodges don't have hot tubs so check info if after one. As some reviews have said the lodges are close together we were able to talk to our neighbours either side some people had put towels over the side decking to get their privacy but wasn't a problem to us."
