"We arrived after a long journey from the UK on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, the owner met us and as we started to walk round the property we noticed the lake next door had several jet skis being used very close to the property we were in, the owner never said anything about them, we were hot and tired and never thought to question the noise. After being shown around the owner departed with the words I will be back next Saturday for you to pay your tourist tax and 45 Euro electric charge, no meter reading here then!During the show round we were told to turn the water to the washing machine on only when in use as there was a small leak.We were unable to sleep in the large loft room due to the heat and the owner said if we slept up there we would need to keep the windows closed as there were lots of mosquitoes and he had not bought a fan yet, we ended up in a small bedroom downstairs cramped in a small double, but at least the air con unit downstairs kept it cool enough.Unpacked and went to sit by the beautiful lake with a cuppa, only to find the jet ski's still on the go with at least four roaring past us belching fumes for the next four hours! We sat it out and eventually the noise stopped and we had a very pleasant evening on the terrace with our food and drink. There is no taking it away from the place it is beautiful and our dog had the run of the place.I had noticed mould on the kitchen drainer and also dead insects squashed on the walls and had a good old clean round the next day, I am not a clean freak but it was grubby.Sunday morning came and yes the jet ski centre started all over again, four solid hours of feeling like we were at silver stone. Oh well maybe in the week it would not be a problem. No it wasn't but the gravel pit behind the property was in operation, it not as loud but was always there in the background. Also a man with a digger was digging up trees on the property boundary.I put a small load of washing on and went off to make breakfast, an hour later I discovered a flood in the shower room where the washing machine was located. turned the water off and cleaned up.The owners solution was to ring me and tell me not to wash anything! We moved into a B and B by Thursday. This could be an amazing place with TLC and if you are made aware beforehand that it is not tranquil all the time. Take your own bedding and pillows would also be my advice."

"Danielle and Fred are waiting for coffee and cakes on arrival. Personally, they give a comprehensive explanation of the equipment and equipment of the cottage. The cottage is small, certainly the upper floor, but very well equipped with everything a person might need, but then more. 2 types of coffeemakers, kettle, all kinds of pans, mugs, cups, glasses, cutlery. To patches and mini- first aid! In this house you can live with ease all year long. Everything is there. For 4 adults, there may be too little sleeping space one twin and one double bed 140 cm wide. Furthermore, little privacy due to the separation of the bedrooms without doors but with curtains. But hey, it's vacation and from your bed you have a fantastic view over the hills. We have eaten 3 days a day on the covered veranda at the house with a fantastic view. There are hiking maps in the house and information about the excursions and sights. Beautiful walks, large and natural zoo and various well-preserved ruins of castles. Also drive a real waterfall in an hour. In addition, on arrival you will get brief information about the area of Danielle and Fred yourself, drinking coffee during the hour. This couple knows how to see a complete holiday home. It is spotlessly clean and decorated by particularly warm and warm people."

"We were warmly welcomed by the owners, with coffee and cake. The chalet is ideally suited for a couple who want a rest for a week in a beautiful environment, loving to walk, bike, observe nature and want to eat and drink. For the last thing you need to take care of yourself on the spot, Because in the region there are hardly any tourists except some day people during the weekend, and so there is not much (but still some) catering. In addition, the kitchen in the chalet is well equipped, and you can eat well outdoors in the summer on the beautiful terrace overlooking nothing but hills and forests. There are some woodpeckers and boommarters in the garden, and you Have all the ingredients for a very successful holiday.O yes, we recommend the bread, the pressions and the cozy babe in the cafe (+ shop) near the village center. Like the owners of the chalet and most people in that part of Lorraine, the older couple who bakes the bread and gives the beer, besides French, also speak excellent German."

"We, the older couple with dog. Saturday 29-06 t / Saturday 06-07-2013. The house and garden are ideal. For our dog, tightly closed. The village is nothing, but we already knew from the descriptions of other guests. The house has all amenities and is well maintained and clean. There are three bedrooms, of which only one is suitable for longer persons (above on the balcony side). The only toilet on the ground floor in the bathroom. For the users of the bedroom on the ground floor, it might not be ideal if there "s night of the upstairs downstairs is gone to the bathroom, use for the (wooden) stairs creak terrible. It is quiet, there say quietly. but only live there near some young people, with a moped or light motorcycle with loud cracks a few times a day through the village. The spacious balcony with table and chairs, is perfect. For shopping you can go at various supermarkets in Bitche, but also in a Super U Rue de Strasbourg 57410 Rohrbach-lès-Bitche, including fresh bread."

"A charming and fully furnished house (not really our taste, but still) that part of the 17th century and by the owners (former family home) is lovingly keep incompetent. The garden is completely enclosed and ideal for smaller children (swings, slide, etc.) but also for dogs because they can roam delicious. The veranda overlooks the valley and yes, sometimes you see the deer running behind the garden. The countryside is very beautiful and offers plenty of opportunities for excursions. Our older kids were very happy with the ability to take Internet. We consider it a must, but if you are looking for instant entertainment, then this is probably not your ideal home. For everything you need out of the village (not a baker, café or restaurant) but for us that was more than offset by the house and the porch where you less good weather could sit and eat."
