What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Golspie To Rent.

"When we booked, this property had a bath. Whilst it now has an amazing power shower, we were not informed the bath was no longer an option. We were supposed to be a party of 5 adults. However there were only 4 of us and at times we found it quite tight spacewise. We like to cook whilst on holiday. However we found the facilities quite limiting with 3 saucepans, 3 Pyrex dishes and a few very non-non-stick frying pan - pleased we took our own frying pan. The oven door handle got extremely hot and we would be concerned for child/dog safety. Also the dishwasher did not dispense the tablet as it should. As there is street parking, we were asked by a resident to move 1 of our cars so she could park hers. There is no direct parking outside S43622. An indication as to where to park would be helpful. Unfortunately the weather was not good enough to sit out but we wouldn’t have chosen to in the back garden as it wasn’t pleasant with 4 bins, a bit of rough ground and a clothes drier. We did have some lovely walks and whilst there was plenty of information about in the house, there was no specific welcome pack, just the visitor book and a calendar telling us when the binmen came. Karen, the caretaker, was very welcoming and available by text which was helpful. We thanked her for her help. As we had an extra dog, we did hoover round during our holiday."

"Heaven on earth if you just want to get away from it all. The cottage is quirky and has everything you need except maybe bring your towelling dressing gown to help with the dash from the hot tub / shower although towels are provided. A thoughtful welcome pack was provided and beautiful fresh flowers. The cottage is warm (the dog loved the underfloor heating), welcoming and romantic and the location is amazing: In the middle of nowhere, unspoilt, but close enough to shops, pubs and beaches. It’s a good base to explore the distilleries and north coast. The owner is not too far away if help is needed and very much willing to give it without being intrusive. We needed rescuing from the ‘Beast from the East’ and Mackie was an absolute true gent and we can’t thank him enough for his hospitality. We ended up being snowed in half of our holiday which actually made it pretty special but means we have unfinished business! We will definitely come back and try out the other cottages too ( don’t worry they aren’t near to each other!).You won’t be disappointed!"

"What a delight when we arrived and discovered such a beautiful, welcoming and homely cottage surrounded by such a tranquil setting, with stunning views. We could not have felt more welcome. We very much enjoyed the treats you left (Especially the wine!). The flowers were unexpected and appreciated. Great wildlife watching especially the friendly Partridge that visited every morning. So much to see and do within easy reach. Beautiful sunsets enjoyed from just sitting on the decking or relaxing in the hot tub & an almost tropical beach over at Lochinver. We highly recommend the cottage. Just to reiterate what others visitors’ have said you will not find better hosts than Mackie & his family. Needless to say we don't want to go home tomorrow! Dave & Dawn plus Jacks the dog who also had a great time :)"

"Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Cottage very well equipped and was very cozy. Only negative point is the cleanliness in part (kitchen). The proprietor should replace their cleaner who is either vertically challenged, short sighted or both. Every room had an inordinate number of cobwebs on the walls above a certain height and hanging from the ceiling. My wife disposed of these with the feather duster. Inside the kitchen cupboards needed washed as did the walls which were marked with grease etc. Also, in the kitchen, around the recessed light fittings dirt and grease was evident. Also along the top edge of kitchen units and base of the fridge/freezer. A shame really as the rest of the house was immaculate, cobwebs aside."

"Middledrift is a lovely, well maintained, warm and clean cottage. It is in a great location, close to the local shops and very close to the beach. There is ample parking just opposite the cottage and a small private garden to the rear of the cottage, plus a large enclosed garden area, across the road, to the front of the cottage. From Brora it is easy to travel to many different areas nearby, such as Golspie and Dornoch. The scenery is beautiful with lots of interesting forest and beach walks and places of interest such as Dunrobin Castle, or further afield to the Castle of Mey.Overall a lovely holiday cottage, set within a beautiful, peaceful and friendly location and one which I can highly recommend."
