What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Glantwymyn To Rent.

"Everything you could possibly think of had been provided, plus all the extras like Nespresso coffee machine. Very impressed with all the extra touches, a chilled bottle of prosecco and hand made chocolates. So thank you to the thoughtful owners who have taken the trouble to go the extra mile. Our only slight negative was that we went as two families, so 8 adults in total and found the upstairs bedroom and bathroom, although very tastefully done, with fantastic views, the restricted head height with the sloped ceilings meant we had several banged heads, and the en-suite bathroom being the same we found everyone was queuing for the shower on the floor below. Possibly not an issue for families with younger children, or a smaller group, but maybe worth mentioning in the booking description. Would highly recommend this beautiful cottage without a doubt."

"Sofa was uncomfortable. Very little natural light in the property: it was gloomy and airless. It was however super clean, very tastefully done out and located in very pretty idyllic surroundings, but it was not somewhere I felt l wanted to spend any time in. Happily the weather was great so I could get out and about and didn't need to spend time at the property, except overnight. The owners provided a welcome pack including home made shortbread and a loaf of bread which was very nice. I think the property details should specify that the owners who live on site have a large and very friendly dog- in case you are a visitor who isn't keen on dogs and doesn't want to find one inside your cottage if you leave the door open. There was also a humidifier running in the sitting room- which could be switched off- but not ideal."

"We loved our stay here. The cottage and location are beautiful. If you want to get away from it all and be in nature, this is the place. Beautiful walks, literally at the bottom of the garden. The cottage is surprisingly spacious for two people, and has such a lovely feel. We felt really at ease and relaxed staying here. Our dogs loved it too! The local amenities (shops, etc) are not fantastic. But it’s not too long a drive into Machynlleth, where you can get everything you need. You don’t expect amazing local amenities in such a rural location, so just do a shop before you go. The owners, Malcolm and Alison were so friendly and welcoming. They even gave us a welcome pack of homemade shortbread, gorgeous fresh bread, eggs and milk, tea, coffee and sugar. We will definitely be returning."

"Myself, my partner (Thomas) and our dog (Sam the Hairy Lurcher) stayed at this wonderful cottage for three nights in late October (we were very lucky with the weather - it was sunny and glorious!) whilst Thomas was doing an ecology course at Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT). The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay (even an electric blanket which was an amazing treat after a long day hiking up Cadair Idris!). The area is beautiful and has lots of good walking in the local area. There are some lovely eateries and shops in nearby Machynlleth. Nora is an excellent host. Great check-in instructions. We hope to stay again soon. Thank you!"

"From the moment we arrived, we had a very warm and friendly welcome. In the stunning cottage was fresh, handmade bread, melt-in-your-mouth shortbread and a 2 pints of milk. The whole place oozed character with each room being a good size. Waking up to sun streaming through the bedroom window and the sound of the stream just 20 feet away was so beautiful. The whole area is stunning and we honestly couldn't fault anything. Hopefully we'll get to return again soon. The only reason we marked it down on local amenities was purely for the fact is was just a little too remote to walk to a pub or shop. However, this didnt detract from our overall enjoyment."
