What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Gardens In Monmouthshire To Rent.

"The bungalow is set in a quiet location just off the main Monmouth/Chepstow road at Tintern with a woodland backdrop where the air you breath is clean and fresh. There are numerous local woodland walks ideal if you like trekking, bear in mind that the local terrain can be steep in places. Tintern Abbey is about a 10 minute walk down the road next to the River Wye which runs through the village. Tintern has with a couple of nice pubs The Anchor and The Rose and Crown (Steak pub) serving a good standard of food. Close by are shops selling reasonably priced souveneirs and one where milk and bread can be purchased. If the weather is sunny and warm the River Wye glistens, the local scenery is beautiful at any time. Nearby are Chepstow Castle and Raglan Castle both well worth a visit as is the fascinating Littledean Jail an 18th century prison at Liitledean (Crime artifacts and pop memorabilia) If you want a quiet relaxing hoilday this is the ideal place and location."

"This holiday home was a one bedroom property for two people, however, it was very spacious and well equipped. As soon as I walked in I felt at home and comfortable. The surroundings and garden are beautiful and if I had come at a warmer time of year would have loved to have spent time out there. It is well off the beaten track so serenely peaceful, although not too far to visit various attractions locally. Abergavenny is only a 10-15 minute drive away, with a great town centre with many large outlets and supermarkets. During the week I stayed I was tempted to light the log fire, just for the good feeling a fire gives but the central heating was so good it was not necessary, in fact I several times had to turn the heating down."

"Of the many great places we have stayed at over the years this cottage has to be at or very near the top of the list. It has so much character and yet has all the mod cons you would every want. Bedroom sizes are very good and both have en-suites. We enjoyed using the Aga stove which has been on my list for years when we eventually move to the country ourselfs. It is a testament to the work the owners have put in over many years to bring it to the standard it is now.It is situated in a very quiet area so that when the weather is good you can eat out in the landscaped garden and enjoy the peace of the Welsh countryside. Walking in the local area is very good too I highly recommend a stay here if you are coming to this area."

"<strong>The property is down hill towards the valley.</strong> It is very peaceful and the outlook is lovely. We had our Son, Daughter in law and grandchildren. come part way through the holiday. They loved the animals and collecting fresh eggs from the chickens. If visitors want to see the Castles in the surrounding areas. Then go for a Cadw admissions Ticket, we took the 3 day one. The total cost was £27 for the two of us, we visited 5 Castles. It would have cost us a lot more if we hadn't been told about this ticket. I would like to say thank you, once again, to Best of Wales for their very efficient service and wonderful directions, how to get to the property"

"The cottage is beautifully situated in a linear village. It is extremely well equipped and has more than you could need. The decor throughout is superb. The location was great and Abergavenny, Monmouth and its nearby attractions were all with easy reach. If you are a walker, as we are, there are many walks nearby and some you can take immediately on leaving the cottage. The garden is delightful and a lovely space to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Good, clear instructions were available in a folder which made it very easy to locate shops etc. I would definitely recommend this cottage - you will not be disappointed."
