What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Gardens In Hastings To Rent.

"We needed somewhere near Hastings for 4 nights, so one of the family could get to nearby Hospital for work placement over half term. S13950 was OK - a bit dated in decor but comfortable; chilly downstairs (bedrooms and bathrooms), warm upstairs (in sitting room/kitchen); would have been useful to zone the thermostat, so the bathrooms downstairs could warm up and keep towels dry without overheating the living space upstairs. It was helpful to be able to bring our pet (dog) and good walks all around for him. Disappointed that the owner didn't bother come and make him/herself known to me during our 4 night stay. Felt rather odd walking into and around a property without any introduction to the owner. Apparently someone did come and talk to my son when I was out, but I would have expect them to come and address the adult in the party. Also I tried to phone before we arrived to find out about whether towels were supplied, as I couldn't see that on the website, but nobody called me back. The kitchen was well equipped. Would have liked one sharp knife though. Also, think the cooker extractor could do with a new filter and de-grease. Otherwise it was very clean when we arrived, which was great."

"Bexhill is a lovely town - a proper seaside town if you like. Some nice shops and cafes and very clean and well looked after. The beach is nice even though there is only sand at low tide. The rock pools are interesting too.Egerton Park has one of the best children's playgrounds we have ever seen.Seaview is a really nice house with a pleasant and helpful owner. Any questions we had were answered quickly and without fuss. Our only real complaint is that there were 8 adults in our party but only 4 seats in the lounge so some of us had to sit on the floor or a table or a stool from another room. Plenty worse things to complain about."

"The cottage is dark and gloomy and the décor is from the 1970's. There is no view of the pool or gardens, just the tennis court and car park. the bed is extremely hard and uncomfortable. The temperature of the pool makes it unusable for more than 5 minutes at a time. The owners had a house party when we were there but did not inform us that this was happening and the music thumping away into the night. We did not feel comfortable sitting out as we had to walk through the other guests garden to get there, disturbing them.Overall, this is the worst holiday cottage I have stayed at. As shame as the area is lovely."

"The welcome we received from the hosts was warm and inviting and we were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. S46063 is a wonderful place to stay. It was beautifully clean and so well equipped that we were able to use the kitchen to the full, enjoy the garden and feel comfortable throughout the house. Our little dog was also welcome which meant a great deal to us and the location proved to be very convenient too; quiet but only a short drive into Hastings. We thoroughly recommend this as a first class place to stay."

"This was our 3rd stay at S13961, and we were loved up with the place as usual. You cannot get better in our opinion. The cottage is full of comfort, and an extremely welcoming atmosphere. It's fantastic for young children as there are lots of toys, and cutlery and plates are all provided. The welcome pack as always is so thoughtful and this time came in very good use as we got there later then expected.A little home from home, we will always be staying at S13961 and recommending to everyone."
