"A disappointing gite. Madame who runs it is very pleasant, but clearly lonely and goes out of her way to 'bump into you' at every opportunity for a chat, which can be difficult if you are in a hurry. The hamlet is dead. Only a bakery and a bar which opens occasionally. The village store shut long ago. The gite is tired and dated and smelt very musty as (if the visitors' book is to be believed) we were the first people in it since last summer. The kitchen equipment is old and random with key things missing- no wine glasses, no chopping board, no cleaning materials if you chose to clean yourself. Dirty old plastic mats on kitchen table. The bed in the Master bedroom was a thin mattress on a wooden board above the bed base. The "blanket" was an old sleeping bag. It would really benefit from new kitchen equipment, beds and bedding. Not what you expect in a holiday let! Shame as we have always been impressed with your accommodation until now."

"The potential for this property is great. It’s a building with charm and character. However, it is let down by a dirty, poorly supplied kitchen and unkempt outside area. The main issue with the interior is that lightbulbs are missing, plasterwork is crumbling and walls need painting. Clearly this property needs a local management team that will maintain a level that justifies the cost of renting. The majority of the property clearly has had money spent on it, possibly some time ago, but it needs maintaining. On a positive note, the owners have furnished the upstairs bedrooms with nice quality furniture and there is a great games room. The swimming pool is of a reasonable size, but is seriously let down by an insufficient number of sun loungers for the potential number of guests. The gardener clearly has been on ‘holiday’ this summer as the outside areas are becoming overwhelmed with weeds."

"This cottage has a wealth of equipment for cooking with the exception of cutlery which was limited. It feels rather as if it is filled with all the things the owner no longer wants in their own house, rather than being equipped as a holiday let. There are TVs in every room and the WiFi is good. There is aircon in all two of the three bedrooms which works well. Fans are also provided. There is limited space downstairs to eat meaning that as a family we had to eat outside. There is a lot of garden furniture and the garden is neat and tidy but there are a lot of wasps. There appear to be wasp nests in the roof vents on this house and the one next door. The owner is lovely and friendly. He relies on guests to ask him about the area rather than providing thorough information in the house."

"Overall a great experience. We were looking for a remote, sunny, quiet location but with easy access to shopping and day trips. The owner is absolutely lovely, a really nice chap who will leave you to get on with your hols. He’s very passionate about his wine so happy to share his knowledge with you if you’re interested. Pool is lovely on a hot day as is quite cool. We took a family of 3 it was brilliant. Probably a bit of a squeeze for more than 6 I would of thought given only 2 toilets (one in the kitchen which we avoided). Lovely outdoor area, pool and surroundings but you will need a car to go anywhere but we were happy with that. Great holiday in a lovely part of the world. Our fifth visit to the region."

"We had a really lovely stay; the apartment was perfect for two, and well equipped. There was a small problem with understanding the host, which is my fault for not speaking French. However, there were some notes up in the apartment which didn't really make sense in English, and I was worried about whether I'd done the right thing with the rubbish and sheets etc. I think that it would be a good idea to improve these. I think that the photo's should be updated as actually the apartment has been updated very nicely."
