"We arrived after a long journey from the UK on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, the owner met us and as we started to walk round the property we noticed the lake next door had several jet skis being used very close to the property we were in, the owner never said anything about them, we were hot and tired and never thought to question the noise. After being shown around the owner departed with the words I will be back next Saturday for you to pay your tourist tax and 45 Euro electric charge, no meter reading here then!During the show round we were told to turn the water to the washing machine on only when in use as there was a small leak.We were unable to sleep in the large loft room due to the heat and the owner said if we slept up there we would need to keep the windows closed as there were lots of mosquitoes and he had not bought a fan yet, we ended up in a small bedroom downstairs cramped in a small double, but at least the air con unit downstairs kept it cool enough.Unpacked and went to sit by the beautiful lake with a cuppa, only to find the jet ski's still on the go with at least four roaring past us belching fumes for the next four hours! We sat it out and eventually the noise stopped and we had a very pleasant evening on the terrace with our food and drink. There is no taking it away from the place it is beautiful and our dog had the run of the place.I had noticed mould on the kitchen drainer and also dead insects squashed on the walls and had a good old clean round the next day, I am not a clean freak but it was grubby.Sunday morning came and yes the jet ski centre started all over again, four solid hours of feeling like we were at silver stone. Oh well maybe in the week it would not be a problem. No it wasn't but the gravel pit behind the property was in operation, it not as loud but was always there in the background. Also a man with a digger was digging up trees on the property boundary.I put a small load of washing on and went off to make breakfast, an hour later I discovered a flood in the shower room where the washing machine was located. turned the water off and cleaned up.The owners solution was to ring me and tell me not to wash anything! We moved into a B and B by Thursday. This could be an amazing place with TLC and if you are made aware beforehand that it is not tranquil all the time. Take your own bedding and pillows would also be my advice."

"Wonderful gite, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Very large gite located above the owners but completely private, Sue and Paul are on hand at all times but unobtrusive but extremely friendly and helpful. Very handy welcome pack in the kitchen provided by Sue and Paul containing fresh homemade bread, jam, biscuits, savoury biscuits. Coffee, milk, juice, butter and of course red wine. The gite is equipped with everything you would need, including tea towels, beach towels, children's inflatables etc. There is a well stocked supermarket within walking distance of the gite, a boulangerie patisserie, a small restaurant. Also within walking distance and on the lake is a good outdoor restaurant. Very rustic with uvpc table and chairs in a beautiful setting with reasonably priced food, a good vibe and friendly staff. Lots of accessible things to see in the region, and the village of Praysaac with some good supermarkets and restaurants about 20 minutes away. This beautiful gite comes highly recommended and we will definitely return."

"To begin with the directions to the place were poor. We had come from Domme and drove past the property into the village to then find signs sending us back the way we came up a long and winding hill. Location is central for main attractions but very much out in the middle of nowhere, a car is essential. On the positive the property is very quiet, and comfortable, the gardens are lovely with lots of wildlife. The pool is great, a decent size but is shared by the adjoining property. This wasn’t a problem as we were out most days and only tended to use it towards the end of the day, there were plenty of sun loungers around the pool.At the end of the lane we discovered a local farm ran its own traditional restaurant. This was amazing and definitely worth going to."

"Your stay at S117408 was amazing, the villa is a great size, the pool worked well for the older kids and the extra large step area was amazing for out toddler. The location is also great for enjoying some local villages in the South of France as well as the more lively areas like Nice (only 30mins drive away). We'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends. My only negative comment would be that the directions are incorrect as the very last part of where the villa is, is missing and it took approximately 20mins to determine exactly where the villa was, in fact we had to be collected as we couldn't find it. Other than that ... an awesome stay!"

"Lack of privacy with the toilet was a slight problem. Blinds were not up to the job and annoying. Should have changed the linen half way through the holiday as we had booked for two weeks. Should have been an information pack preferably in English on local amenities / rubbish collection, etc etc etc.Site was still a partial building sites which could put some people off .Owners seemed to be trying to sell the site/ house and it was a little annoying to have people walking around.Couple were OK even though they spoke little or no English gift of an egg from their hens on the first day was a nice touch as was the gift of a small bottle of oil on our departure."
