"You will not find a more tranquil and beautiful location than Little Trilloes. What a stunning setting and even if you are not a walker the grounds are so lovely you could just relax and read a book on one of the many seats dotted around the front garden. We were blessed by good weather and ate out every night on the patio and every morning for breakfast. You can take a footpath from the house right down to the river Wye or circular walk through woods. The village has a pub but no shop which is the only reason I have marked it down. We walked along the road to the pub which is about 1 mile but we were not passed by any vehicles. It really is that quiet. The cottage is very spacious for 2 people and the garden terrific for our dog. Wonderful to get a kingsize bed - probably the most comfortable one we have experienced in very extensive holidaying. The hosts Annette and Malcolm are lovely people. There is nothing more you could hope for with a holiday let. Although there is no shop and you seem to be in the middle of nowhere you are in fact only 7 miles from the glorious city of Hereford and the quaint town of Ross on Wye with its walks by the river. It only took us 35 minutes to get to the spectacular viewing platform at Symonds Yat in Gloucestershire and even a trip further afield to Croft Castle near Leominster was not too strenuous. Everywhere you turn in this glorious county you are confronted by stunning scenery and beautiful little villages. Worst problem - having to leave at the end of the week!"

"Off the beaten track in a beautiful part of Herefordshire, the views were stunning and the owners were both welcoming and friendly. We brought our ten month old Golden Labrador which in his typical style made friends with the owners and the farm life. The cottage was spotless when we arrived with towels, cleaning gear and a well stocked kitchen to help us along on our break. The owners while welcoming and friendly were far from imposing and left us to enjoy our holiday even with their property less than 20 metres away. The surrounding countryside and the grounds of the farm were perfect for an evening stroll with the pooch and peaceful to give us a real feel of an escape from the city. I would strongly recommend the cottage to couples and couples with their own canine friends we have enjoyed it that much that we may just return to explore more of what Herefordshire has to offer."

"Decided at short notice to take a break in the Lake District & this was the only place available that suited our dates, advertised as suitable for the Lakes but not really as 11/2hrs to Windermere/Ambleside due to the winding roads & the amount of traffic on them. The cottage is very small, the kitchen was damp & looking very tired as was the bathroom , the four poster bed is small & the frame wobbles also the mattress was very soft & springy so didn't sleep very well. On the plus side the welcome pack was very nice, the cottage was clean & the local pub was a short walk & served some good food."

"We had a lovely long weekend at Mill House. Sheila was very helpful and allowed us to change our booking to arrive a day later as the roads were not safe for driving on the Friday. The cottage was warm, comfortable and very spacious which we really appreciated. It was tastefully furnished and we had no problems other than a sudden loss of water which Sheila immediately sought to rectify. Fortunately, with the aid of a local man the problem was quickly identified and sorted. I would definitely book Mill House again and recommend to others."

"Expect a warm welcome from owners Ken & Allison who couldn't be more helpful on arrival. The apartment is part of a fantastic stables conversion and kitted out to high standard throughout. Lovely firm bed, powerful shower, superb views across the Wolds, it was exactly as advertised. The only reason we didn't give 10/10 is harsh, but we treat rental property as our own on these breaks and couldn't tidy up after ourselves! A vacuum cleaner, broom & mop would finish it off 😉.All in all a cracking place to get away from it all."
