A Gairloch holiday cottage doesn’t just get you the glassy waters, but to a marvellously quaint village at its heart. With its own Heritage Museum, tourist market and golf course, it’s the perfect combination of relaxation meets get-up-and-go. The harbour is the perfect place to arrange a boat trip if you’re keen to spot for whales, seals and dolphins, while the local bistros and coffee shops make for a great place to sit back and relax. What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Gairloch To Rent.

"Though from the property description we were expecting bed linen we had taken towels and tea towels, but there were ample supplied along with plenty of all of the standard kitchen cleaning products that you’d find at home. This was a pleasant and unexpected surprise that we feel is worth sharing with future guests. We found that the £10 electricity allowance was sufficient to get us through the week (even in November with dark nights and a chill in the air), we even enjoyed two or three hours in the sauna. There are no pictures of the sauna on the site, but to satisfy your curiosity it is quite small, but will comfortably house two adults any more that that would be a tight squeeze! There is a large walled garden with a family picnic bench overlooking the sea, with the mountains in the background. This is a great space for your dogs to run free in a safe environment. If you are looking for something to do, head out toward Gairloch (there’s a great beach) and a trip to the Fairy Loch and the plane crash site is well worth a visit, the start of the well signed walk/climb is only a few minutes outside of town. Nov 2011."

"Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Took a bit of finding at first but once we had found it it was all fine. Very clean, tidy and well equipped. It felt homely as soon as we walked in and we were soon comfortable and settled. Our 3 year old loved exploring the house and garden which is steep in places but that is mentioned in the description and we just kept a closer eye on her at the back of the property. We had some fantastic sunsets and sunrises from the property . Great weather and Dolphins spotted from the boat trips. Shop in Gairloch is very well stocked and open until late every day including Sunday so you never go short. Badracho Inn still as good as ever. The road down to Port Henderson at first seems a very long one even when we knew this but after a few days you quickly get used to the bends and it started to feel much quicker. All in all a great holiday in a lovely house in a fantastic location with stunning views!"

"Excellent cottage in a good location for exploring the Gairloch and Torridon area. The accommodation and fittings were perfect for our needs on a walking and exploring holiday. A highlight was the fantastic sunset over the sea to Skye and the Outer Hebrides from the coast nearby. Interesting walks to be had in the vicinity of the cottage (Redpoint, Badachro), good food and drink at the Badachro Inn which is only a couple of miles away. Further afield, shortish car journeys to access the northern end of the Torridon Hills, Gairloch and Inverewe Gardens at Poolewe. The small museum at Gairloch is worth a visit - lots of detail on the development of lighthouse technology in the 19th C, geography and social history of the area. Also Mountain Coffee Shop and Bookshop at Gairloch for a lazy afternoon."

"when we arrived at the cottage we were a little disappointed to find that we had to park by the road side and not on the actual property, and that it wasn't as near to the beach as we thought it was going to be. however, the cottage was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and comfortable. I dont think anyone would be able to find fault with it and although we usually prefer to go to different areas around Scotland IF we wanted to go back to Gairloch we would book S22834 again. the welcome pack was most appreciated!!! the views from the sitting room window was the best!! we have been to Gairloch many times in the past, but, unfortunately this time the weather was terrible. we went to The Sheiling and to the golf club for meals out both were excellent and i wouldnt hesitate to recommend them."

"We were there for two weeks. The house is very nice and located in a beautiful place. The view of the atlantic is great, unfortunately there is no direct access to the sea. The house is modern furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We found the house in a very clean condition. So clean we have a vacation home so far not experienced. The environment is very lonely and quiet. Ideal for relaxing from stressful everyday life. There are two reasonable supermarkets in gairloch, a few kilometers away. The local butcher in Gairloch is great. In Badachro there is a great pub where you can eat excellent. We would always stay there again."
