"Ok so the reception is hardly ever open so if you go out for the day you will most likely never get the chance to speak to anyone. On the plus side the staff did speak English. There is no shop/food on site they do have a van in the mornings other than a Saturday that come with the basics bread/pain au raisins ect and on three nights a food truck. what they didn't tell us was that you needed to ordered from the chicken truck in a morning to get anything other than a kebab. Laundry facilities are only open 7 till 7 but you have to get a token from reception which with the opening times can be a pain. The accomodation we had was all on one floor and was small one set of bunk beds was basically in a hallway next to the front door you had to crab walk to get on the bed. I think Harry Potter had a bigger room under the stairs. The one bedroom was ok and the last was a sofa bed which would be fine if the room were a little bigger. Once the bed was out you had no room at all. The separation of toilet from shower room was good. The kitchen was clean and modern but has no oven only a microwave and you can't have a barbecue on site unless it's electric and who has ever wanted one of them!!! The kitchen had limited space to store any thing. The pool is a good size but unheated so sometimes a little chilly we didn't use the hottubs/gym but they are only open when reception is and at an extra cost this is stated on the website. The site itself is nice and easy to find and in a good location for some good beaches and a short drive for supermarket shops and restaurants. So all in all its a nice place in a good location and if you can manage in small accomodation with limited cooking facilities then you will be fine. We were out most days so only back in an evening but we like to barbecue and couldn't do that which was a shame. Mandy the site need to look at having some electric barbecues for people to hire."

"This was our first stay at a gite so we picked an area that we were familiar with. The directions to the gite were spot on and we were greeted by the owner who showed us around and explained things and answered any questions that we had. There was a small welcome pack of tea coffee milk and 2 small bottles of wine which after a 8 hour drive went down very well. The gite was basically equipped with all that we needed over the 2 weeks we stayed. There is statalite TV so we could watch the news and some of the World Cup. Internet connection was poor on a good day but ok if sitting around the pool. Bread for breakfast is a 15 min walk into the village which is nice before the heat of the day. The Super market in the village square is very expensive but there is a intermarche supermarket on the outskirts of the village. There is a tourist information office again on the outskirts of the village and the gentleman who runs this is very helpful. There is a restaurant in the village centre which is popular with the local British also on a Thursday night a mobile fish and chip van pulls up in the square again this is very popular I did not try this as I can have fish and chips at home. I would gladly stay here again as everyone is so friendly the location is quite central, it was good to get away from the modern world for a bit."

"This was our first foreign holiday with my youngest daughter who has coeliac disease and is also dairy protein intolerant. We booked this location because of the almost guaranteed sunshine, the swimming pool and the close proximity to La Rochelle. In a nut shell, we had a fantastic time. The cottage was well equipped, which meant we could cook each night without any issues so my daughter could eat Gluten Free and Dairy Free food. We had a private garden and car parking, the swimming pool was open 24 hours a day and the owners (Alan and Margret) were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We loved the rural location, but the main A10 road was only a few miles away. The local supermarket was extremely well stocked, sold pretty much everything you would need but the biggest plus point was the excellent range of Gluten Free food. We would defiantly use this cottage again. My children loved the open space, the garden, the play equipment and the swimming pool. The only negative was the amount of flies, especially in the evening. This was not the owners fault and the cottage was based near a farm. Next visit, we will be better prepared to deal with the flies."

"I stayed at the cottage with my wife and although it was adequate enough for us I don't feel it is suitable for more than 1 couple. There was only 1 settee which at a push sat 3 although there was a 6 seater table and chairs and we found the bed to be a bit uncomfortable. The outside space was lovely and peaceful if that's what your after. When we have stayed in cottages before be it in the uk or abroad we normally find at least some washing up liquid and little things that the previous holidaymakers leave behind but there was nothing at all. We don't mind buying stuff obviously but to find no remnants of anything was a bit surprising. So needless to say when we left we left behind the washing up liquid and sugar etc. We did take some DVD's with us as the TV is French only."

"Fabulous cottage and gardens. The pool was a great hit with the kids and adults alike. The owners were attentive but unobtrusive. Both very nice people and lovely with our children. Pizza night hosted by the owners is not to be missed and a great chance to socialise with other guests. It’s possible to mix with other guests but also have privacy within your own garden. All in all a brilliant stay. Would highly recommend."
