"The driveway down to the Villa is a gravel and uneven track Which is approximately one mile long, in some places it felt like I needed a jeep. The house in my mind was very basic, It was almost like the owners had just forgot they had a house here, half the lights outside didn’t work or had just blown, The lights in the swimming pool never worked, also when we were there the swimming pool leaked, half the sun lounges are broken, The play area looked run down and tired, The first day Wi-Fi didn’t work, The gasket of the cooker was broken so you can get the right temperature in the oven, Not enough seating in the TV room for eight people and full-length sliding windows Can’t be locked because they are broken, broken lamp shade in one of the bedrooms and it goes on, this is not rocket science if you are renting a property in France make sure everything works before your client gets to their destination otherwise you will ruin their holiday.I am sorry I would not recommend this property for the price you pay."

"Lovely situation with views of the countryside. Everybody enjoyed the swimming pool and towels were provided for outside use. The size of the property and the outbuildings gave us space to do what we wanted to. The table tennis (under cover) and badminton were popular. Two tennis courts (free) were a ten minute drive away and were always empty. Being the end of the season there was some wear and tear - the lower rack of the dishwasher had lost some of its wheels and the bases for the sunshades were broken (they could still be used for the tables). The only cause for concern was the steepness of one set of stairs. Because of the layout of the bedrooms it was easier for some of us to use them. All in all we had a great time and would go back again."

"The Chateau is amazing and has a very nice pool area. Unfortuately we had very heavy rain storms resulting in water leaking through the tower cascading onto the fuse box, over which the owners had carefully sellotaped a piece of plastic! ( A recurring problem?) The electric system fused but we got it working when it dried out but we were without hot water downstairs. The agent was helpful and an electrician did arrive but we were nearing our departure when the hot water was fixed. Beds, mattresses and linen need to be replaced. A trip to Ikea or Zara in Bordeaux would not go amiss to purchase fresh duvets, pillows and sheets to replace dusty old blankets, lumpy pillows and faded seventies floral purple sheets. It is not a huge expence!"

"We had a great Holiday overall. The owners were very nice and we had a warm welcome. The accommodation was comfortable and impressive in many respects, but it looked more than a little tired and neglected I’m afraid. I’m some cases (as families with children) this compromised safety a little. For instance, many of the poolside tiles were loose and there could have easily been an accident. It looks like corners have been cut with many things, and you’d some it up as being a little ‘tired.’ That said, the price for the week was reasonable even taking this into account, and the owners were lovely and the location great. Jumilhac-le-Grand is a great village to spend some time and lots to do a little further afield too!"

"Excellent apartment in a fantastic location. Very close to the beach and local shops and restaurants. S117558 was a perfect choice for us as it had enough places to eat and the beach wasn't busy even in peak season. We used the campsite bar to start the evening and also had a couple of meals in the evening. The owner was very friendly and made us welcome. My only niggle that stopped me giving a better score was that the linen hire was high and I think the cleaning charge should be part of the hire charge. Still, as we were at the beach every day, the cleaners would have earnt their money.I would recommend this apartment to others."
