"The cottage is in a wonderful location and we’ve enjoyed a couple of holidays in this cottage. The only thing that lets it down is the standard of cleaning. When we stayed last year it didn’t have that ‘clean’ smell or feel about it and there were a number of dead flys in the kitchen window ledge. I didn’t comment last year because I thought it was maybe a one-off and it didn’t detract from the fact that it is a wonderful place to stay. However this year I found the standard of cleaning to be poor and yet again a number of dead flys were in the kitchen window ledge and it still didn’t have that ‘clean’ smell or feel about it. I’ve noticed a number of guests have commented on the standard of cleaning so I really hope you take on board this constructive criticism. It’s such a shame for a wonderful cottage such as this to be let down by something that could easily be rectified."

"Overall Mariners was a pleasant cottage with nothing particularly wrong with it at all, just didn't suit us in the end but that's not the owners fault. Parking could be an issue at times but there is a carpark near by where cars can be parked until tourists have left for the day. The décor is dated but it is clean and well matched. More storage in the kitchen could be made available by clearing some of the cupboards out but that is easily remedied by the owners. Its a very peaceful cottage in beautiful surroundings. There was no land line and mobile phone access was non existent but I guess that's down to your network provider. The whole area was limited in this way so having wifi could be a great addition. (this was stated in the details so we were aware of this). we were very comfy here, very close to some lovely walks, neighbours were lovely."

"Not a five star cottage but very comfortable and loved all the homely touches very nice furnishings with comfortable settee and chairs. appreciated the lovely clean fresh bedding and lots of towels beds were very good I sleeped in the downstairs bedroom which is next to the bathroom a bit of traffic noisy from the road but the cottage is in the centre of the village which is so handy for the many cafes and restaurants all serving an excellent choice of food Only complaint the large screen TV in the lounge only seemed to have one Chanel so had to watch in upstairs bedroom the WI FI was very good but not much of phone reception. Had a wonderful holiday in my favourite Cornish village Very good value for the money hoping to stay again in the autum"

"owners was nice quite disappointed after a very long journey there was no welcome pack on arrival as in bacon eggs ect every other cottage we have been has had things like that cakes, scones, wine ect no draining board when we arrived it was being cleaned and when we got in it still had loads and I mean loads of spiders everywhere beds were really uncomfy also very upset that 2 weeks before the holiday we were asked to send a £100 pound cheque security deposit incase anything gets broke but the thing we didn't realise was the owners cashed it in 2 weeks before the holiday before we even set foot in the place outrageous! what if we didn't have the money in the bank it wasn't written down and explained properly so no wont be going back"

"A perfect little base for a couple wishing to explore this part of the Cornwall coast. We were there for a week and out walking or touring Cornwall every day. Had we been wanting a 'staying-in' type of holiday we may perhaps have needed a little more space in the downstairs living area. From the cottage, coastal and inland walks are immediately accessible without hopping in the car, which we loved. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful. Access to places further afield needed a car but was relatively easy driving."
