"S78879 was lovely, the decoration and feel was very relaxing and the whole place was immaculately clean, the owners have done a great job. It was probably the best holiday home i've stayed in, in terms of having everything you would want or need. Entertainment wise there were a few books to read and some puzzles. Along with the SmartTv that you could watch Netflix on, there was a DVD player and a selection of films and also an Xbox with games. The kitchen was well stocked - the Nespresso machine was a bonus (the supplied pods were a nice and very welcome touch after our drive down)and the sofa was large, comfortable and inviting after a day out along the coast.I loved waking up and sitting up in bed able to look out over the English channel, the binoculars were a nice touch. Sandgate itself seemed nice and had all you'd need, but not a huge amount to do which was fine as we were just using it as a base to explore Kent. We tried out the main pubs and would say that The Providence and the Ship Inn were ok but found the smaller 'Inn Doors Micropub' just up the road was the best place to sit and while away an hour or two. We did eat at the Royal Norfolk Hotel one evening and enjoyed the food.Overall we enjoyed our stay and couldn't really fault the accommodation aside from the not particularly inviting stairwell you have to use to get up to the front door - not ideal if you struggle with walking. As others have mentioned, parking outside on the street is an issue but most of the time we just left the car in the carpark overlooking the sea and it seemed safe and only a minutes walk away."

"'S78879' is beautifully decorated inside and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. When we arrived and some of the electrics weren't working, the owner sorted out the problem very quickly which we really appreciated. The flat is in a good place for exploring the Kent coast and there is lots to do in the local area. It is also very close to the wonderful pebble beach which we loved - we went everyday. Sadly, the flat is on a busy road where there is traffic constantly through the day and into the evening - it's very noisy and meant that we couldn't have the windows open as often as we wanted. Added to this it is opposite a pub where there is entertainment on a Thursday and Saturday night, as well as people smoking/drinking outside which was also loud. Back in the day we would probably have joined them but now we have a toddler it just meant we didn't really get to sleep until midnight most nights. Parking was difficult for us -perhaps we were just unlucky - and everyday we had to park the car some distance from the flat and walk back. This was a problem when loading the car at the end of the holiday.I have mixed emotions writing this review because the flat is really lovely inside and the beach/local area is a huge bonus, but had we known about the road and pub I doubt we would have booked to come here - it was too noisy for us and not the 'village' location/relaxing stay we were looking for."

"An enjoyable stay. Not the best beach in the area by far but nice to have on the doorstep when not wanting to travel to get the sand. This beach is heavy stone. The immediate vacinity has a base level of amenities, but nothing exceptional. The flat is located in a block of largely social housing which was not expected, no issues around this were encountered however. The flat is secure and feels safe. The location is one street back from the coastal road where the more premium locations are situated. There is a pleasant view from both the lower and upper floors with the master bedroom enjoying a view of the sea. Parking was a concern but turned out to be fine with a resident visitors pass, although you do need to fight for a space between 10am and 4pm and have a 2hr max parking time without it. Free parking is about a mile away between the hours of 8am and 6pm.The owner is mega helpful and this was a huge plus. Also the flat is very well appointed with nice bed sheets and modern and relatively new equipment."

"In a lovely peaceful area ,a little too remote for us but we can imagine a lot of people wanting to escape the rat race will like that, its central for driving to a lot of resorts and places of interest and close to Canterbury The garden is lovely and secure ,our dogs enjoyed it ! The hot tub was great and as the other cottage was empty at some points during our week stay so we had it to ourselves .The cottage we found to be very basic and quite small and looks a little "tired" in places .We are walkers and there were lots of footpaths close by.... in other cottages we have stayed there has been lots of info on local walks but there were no maps or walking information here However we had a terrific holiday overall"

"You can’t fault the location of this property, the garden was fantastic for the dogs to walk around at their leisure and the immediate location is ideal for walks and getting around to other villages with a selection of great dog walks and beautiful country pubs for lunch or an evening meal. The converted blacksmith workshop for me was too small especially on the first floor. I am over 6ft and found the bedroom very limited in space but would suit others no doubt but for someone as tall as me impersonal found it very compact. Please do not let it put anyone off as the positives far out way the negatives and the setting is very idealic."
