"S78879 was lovely, the decoration and feel was very relaxing and the whole place was immaculately clean, the owners have done a great job. It was probably the best holiday home i've stayed in, in terms of having everything you would want or need. Entertainment wise there were a few books to read and some puzzles. Along with the SmartTv that you could watch Netflix on, there was a DVD player and a selection of films and also an Xbox with games. The kitchen was well stocked - the Nespresso machine was a bonus (the supplied pods were a nice and very welcome touch after our drive down)and the sofa was large, comfortable and inviting after a day out along the coast.I loved waking up and sitting up in bed able to look out over the English channel, the binoculars were a nice touch. Sandgate itself seemed nice and had all you'd need, but not a huge amount to do which was fine as we were just using it as a base to explore Kent. We tried out the main pubs and would say that The Providence and the Ship Inn were ok but found the smaller 'Inn Doors Micropub' just up the road was the best place to sit and while away an hour or two. We did eat at the Royal Norfolk Hotel one evening and enjoyed the food.Overall we enjoyed our stay and couldn't really fault the accommodation aside from the not particularly inviting stairwell you have to use to get up to the front door - not ideal if you struggle with walking. As others have mentioned, parking outside on the street is an issue but most of the time we just left the car in the carpark overlooking the sea and it seemed safe and only a minutes walk away."

"'S78879' is beautifully decorated inside and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. When we arrived and some of the electrics weren't working, the owner sorted out the problem very quickly which we really appreciated. The flat is in a good place for exploring the Kent coast and there is lots to do in the local area. It is also very close to the wonderful pebble beach which we loved - we went everyday. Sadly, the flat is on a busy road where there is traffic constantly through the day and into the evening - it's very noisy and meant that we couldn't have the windows open as often as we wanted. Added to this it is opposite a pub where there is entertainment on a Thursday and Saturday night, as well as people smoking/drinking outside which was also loud. Back in the day we would probably have joined them but now we have a toddler it just meant we didn't really get to sleep until midnight most nights. Parking was difficult for us -perhaps we were just unlucky - and everyday we had to park the car some distance from the flat and walk back. This was a problem when loading the car at the end of the holiday.I have mixed emotions writing this review because the flat is really lovely inside and the beach/local area is a huge bonus, but had we known about the road and pub I doubt we would have booked to come here - it was too noisy for us and not the 'village' location/relaxing stay we were looking for."

"An enjoyable stay. Not the best beach in the area by far but nice to have on the doorstep when not wanting to travel to get the sand. This beach is heavy stone. The immediate vacinity has a base level of amenities, but nothing exceptional. The flat is located in a block of largely social housing which was not expected, no issues around this were encountered however. The flat is secure and feels safe. The location is one street back from the coastal road where the more premium locations are situated. There is a pleasant view from both the lower and upper floors with the master bedroom enjoying a view of the sea. Parking was a concern but turned out to be fine with a resident visitors pass, although you do need to fight for a space between 10am and 4pm and have a 2hr max parking time without it. Free parking is about a mile away between the hours of 8am and 6pm.The owner is mega helpful and this was a huge plus. Also the flat is very well appointed with nice bed sheets and modern and relatively new equipment."

"Unfortunately this accomodation is just average. On the Down side:1) most serious- the second bedroom is quite unusable for adults because of the wonky bed-just a mattress loosely thrown onto a small sort of sofa. This cottage can sleep definitely only 2 people.2) The shower in the bathroom is also faulty. The mixer tap is obviously not working properly. Either you get burned by quite hot water or it is freezing cold.3)The surroundings (esp. the back) of S13640 are in desperate need of a big tidy up.It is not a pleasure sitting outside and looking at a row of rubbish bins and boxes with junk of allkind. On the UP-sideNice working TV set with freeview and and a dishwasher, also in gwo. This place is definetely NOT value for money"

"We had a great week at S13624. The owner was friendly and helpful. It was easy to find, and there was adequate parking. We very much enjoyed the brilliant view across Romney Marsh right up to the hills and Port Lymnpe Zoo. We were within easy reach of many attractions including the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, Canterbury, Dymchurch beach, and Ameretto's ice cream shop.As a family with children we were very appreciative of there being two loos! The cottage was well equipped and beautifully laid out, plenty of room for everyone. The double bed was a bit firmer than we are used to, but that was really a minor point. We would definitely book again."
