What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Fife To Rent.

"The cottage was lovely, set in a beautiful little village, conveniently close to St. Andrews and the coastal villages of Crail, Anstruther etc. The cottage was clean, warm, well equipped, well furnished and the beds were comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and shown around the cottage on arrival and the owners kindly provided us with a fresh pint of milk, a bottle of wine and some samples of locally produced jams and marmalades.A minor problem for some might be the poor and intermittent Wi-Fi connection but that could just be a result of a rural location. We went 'old school' and planned outings with guide books (how quaint!). We were unlucky that the village café and pub were both closed for the majority of our week but the hotel, adjacent to the cottage, was open and served really excellent food on the two evenings when we dined there. Worth a visit.Overall, I would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage, and the village, as a great place to go for a family holiday or a relaxing break."

"S23305 is a wonderful base to explore the Kingdom of Fife.Owners Grant and Anne are so friendly and very very helpful.Everything about the cottage makes you feel at home. There is everything you would ever need right down to the small sewing kit in the dresser. Our dog was always made to feel welcome and the garden is very dog friendly surrounded by a Beech hedge with chicken wire on the other side to stop smaller dogs getting through for a dip in Ceres Burn on the other side. The Meldrums pub at the end of the garden is a friendly place to relax with a nice drink at the end of a long day and a bonus is they do the most amazing food and not too expensive either. All in all a wonderful cottage, owned by a wonderful couple, all you could want for your holiday."

"The cottage itself is lovely and homely, nestled in the quiet little village of Cellardyke, which is a continuation of Anstruther.Inside, however, the two sofas could certainly do with replacing as they have seen better days many years ago; there is no "parking for three cars", despite what the website states - streetview John St, Cellardyke and you will see exactly how tight and narrow the street is. We had to drive several streets away some evenings in order to secure a parking space. Finally, to access the rear garden, you have to walk thru another property, and while the neighbours are both friendly and understanding, this arrangement is far from ideal"

"The fact that the dishwasher was not working was reported to the owner on arrival by us. A plumbers visit was promised with immediate effect but he had not turned up by the end of the week. There was very little information about the use of any of the equipement. For example we had to discover the heating timer hidden behind towels and never found out if the cooker hood worked. Information about local doctors etc could have been useful although, fortunately we did not have any emergencies. It was not clear from the literature that parking was on street."

"We had a fantastic week in the most perfect location. The cottage was excellent and served all our needs. My only small gripe is that the master bed is quite small and the mattress not the most comfortable. The location was ideal for walking and for investigating the East Neuk of Fife. The East Neuk Outdoor centre just along the road was great value and the staff very encouraging for out kids kids (11, 10 & 8). The cottage was cosy in the cool nights and the back garden had a lovely spot to sit in the sum with out morning coffee."
