Staying in Fife

A significant part of Fife is coastal and as a result as home to diverse wildlife you can spot from many of the charming seaside towns. There is a lot to delight the foodies out there too. Not only are there some excellent, award-winning, restaurants but there are numerous farmers markets, opportunities to pick your own and even taste craft beer, whiskey or gin from its source. Regardless of what draws you to this delightful region, Snaptrip has the perfect late availability cottage for your trip to Fife.

"Jan and Lachlan McIntosh, the owners, were extremely welcoming, friendly and easy going. On arrival they had supplied fresh eggs from their own hens plus a pack of bacon. Instructions on how to use the central heating and other appliances were available. There was a huge folder containing details of attractions and places to eat which was extremely useful. They had even supplied wine which could be purchased and the money placed in the "honesty jar". The kitchen was very well equipped and there was even a Formans grill. Sadly the weather was a bit inclement but if it had been better we could have used the garden for a barbecue and relaxing. We would rate this holiday cottage a 5* one without a doubt and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting Scotland as the location is good for getting to lots of areas like Edinburgh, The Trossacks, etc. April 2012."

"The clear directions took us right to the door. The welcome was fantastic, the welcome basket and card were a lovely touch. The level of contact was just right. The house and its facilities were excellent and we felt immediately at home. The flexibility of the sleeping areas meant we were able to cater for two families and allow us and the children space of their own. The additional lounge space upstairs meant that we were also able to have an adult space downstairs where we could relax in the evenings, and the kids had their own space to head to in the morning when they woke up. Kitchen facilities were excellent, as were the two bathrooms. The cottage was ideally positioned to travel out to the varied locations if Fife - lots to do in the surrounding areas. The information booklet in the cottage was very useful. We look forward to staying at S23322 again."

"An enjoyable stay in what is a very comfortable and spacious house. Loved the open plan of the lounge and kitchen with it's olde worlde nick-nacks and stove-fire. The separate sitting room upstairs with the TV was a great 'den' for the kids. (and good Wi-Fi plus full SKY kept them amused in the evening)Very quiet and pretty location with 360 degree views of the beautiful Fife countryside. A nice welcome basket of treats was very much appreciated, and the double oven made cooking breakfast a breeze! Would certainly stay here again."

"We had an amazing time staying in S23322. The house is a home from home. Everything we needed was considered. The views from each window were beautiful and the surrounding countryside peaceful. The kitchen was very well equipt and the welcome basket was a lovely surprise and the Easter Egg hunt for the children a wonderful touch. Overall S23322 was worth every penny (excellent value for money) and a great base for Edinburgh, Stirling, St Andrews and Dundee and Falkland. We can't recommend it highly enough."

"Country cottage in a very quiet location. Nice welcome from the helpful owners and tablet, bacon and eggs provided, which was nice. We had a nice week here, weather good and very relaxing. Bedrooms were comfortable and clean. Lounge area was well laid out. Tv, dvds etc provided. Wifi available but note a bit slow, but hey it's the country. Barely used the kitchen area as we only had breakfast. Eating out for lunch and dinner. Good location to explore Fife and further afield."
