A significant part of Fife is coastal and as a result as home to diverse wildlife you can spot from many of the charming seaside towns. There is a lot to delight the foodies out there too. Not only are there some excellent, award-winning, restaurants but there are numerous farmers markets, opportunities to pick your own and even taste craft beer, whiskey or gin from its source. Regardless of what draws you to this delightful region, Snaptrip has the perfect late availability cottage for your trip to Fife.

"The Cottage was lovely, but there were a few disappointments. The furniture in the lounge was tired and needs replacing. The hob was not cleaned properly, and again was tired and needs replacing. Hardly used it. The markings for the numbers on the high or low on each hob were worn away, so you did not know if you were number 6 or number 2. Quite dangerous. We were never made welcome by the owners. They left the key on the kitchen table. They never made any effort to find out anything about us. It was very unfriendly atmosphere. We had one short conversation the whole week and that was only to tell us to use the other pathway to come in and out of the cottage, so as not to drive past theirs. We have rented four times before. This was the most unfriendly. We left the cottage spic and span before we left ....."

"We had a lovely short break at S70226, the owners seemed to have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. All the furniture, equipment and fittings were of a good quality. The flat is a very short walk from the beach and a short walk from one of the local pubs, The Railway Inn, which deserves a special mention for being both dog and human friendly. Our only issue is the stairs up to the property and also within the property up to the living area. It was a little inconvenient but would not put us off coming back. The owner contacted us prior to our stay to give us directions and provide the access details, they also left a bottle of wine which was a kind gesture."

"The cottage itself is lovely and homely, nestled in the quiet little village of Cellardyke, which is a continuation of Anstruther.Inside, however, the two sofas could certainly do with replacing as they have seen better days many years ago; there is no "parking for three cars", despite what the website states - streetview John St, Cellardyke and you will see exactly how tight and narrow the street is. We had to drive several streets away some evenings in order to secure a parking space. Finally, to access the rear garden, you have to walk thru another property, and while the neighbours are both friendly and understanding, this arrangement is far from ideal"

"Excellent holiday cottage, great for two people, or four. All the equipment including cooker and utensils are good quality, and everything you would need is in the cottage -even a slow cooker! Very quiet village, fantastic bed, very comfortable-slept really well.Main supermarkets are just a few miles down the road, and most of Fife is within easy driving distance-we had some great days out, in St, Andrews, the coastal fishing villages, Dundee, and could have gone on the train to Edinburgh from Cupar-but ran out of time!Loved the wood burner, especially when a storm was raging outside!Would love to return some time, maybe one summer!"

"We had a fantastic week in the most perfect location. The cottage was excellent and served all our needs. My only small gripe is that the master bed is quite small and the mattress not the most comfortable. The location was ideal for walking and for investigating the East Neuk of Fife. The East Neuk Outdoor centre just along the road was great value and the staff very encouraging for out kids kids (11, 10 & 8). The cottage was cosy in the cool nights and the back garden had a lovely spot to sit in the sum with out morning coffee."
