What our customers are saying about our Family Cottages In South East To Rent.

"We rented Densford for a week over the Christmas break. The cottage is well located, pretty and warm. However, the lounge area is incredibly dark only being lit by 2 low table lamps with no side tables for drinks which could very easily have been spilt on the floor. We had to bring down a bedside lamp and table which improved matters a little but still did not give adequate lighting to read comfortably. Likewise, the morning room area isvery dark and we had to move the kitchen table lamp onto the table just to be able to have a comfortable meal. For a winter stay, lighting is relevant and this could easily have been rectified by free standing uplighters and stronger bulbs. There is absolutely no cupboard space in the kitchen for dry storage so for our stay we had to move china and dishes from the only top cupboard so tins, packets etc could be put away. There is china provided but only 2 mugs and an assortment of smaller cups. All of the above caused us a good deal of frustration and inconvenience. One further point is that there is no hanging space in the 2nd bedroom so if both rooms are being used, hanging clothes all have to be kept in the main bedroom. I would also emphasise the steep stairs which I accept have been stated in the particulars. However, for safety you do need both hands free when using them and I would worry about children using them as a fall would not be broken. I completely understand thelimitations in staying in a traditional cottage but many of the above could be resolved inexpensively."

"The cottage was certainly up to usual Snaptrip standards. If anything, the property was 'under-sold' in the sense that the garden was much nicer than we were led to believe, having an excellent outlook at the rear and lovely seating areas with enough privacy despite being semi-detached. Proximity to Amberley Castle is also a treat: being able to walk there and back from a fine-dining restaurant on a fine summer's evening was a memorable experience. Perhaps that could also be emphasised (for those who enjoy top-nosh).The only reason for not giving 5 stars was an unfortunate flood we suffered due to a drain blockage. The owner was initially difficult to contact but soon put things right and gave us a nice consolatory gift."

" A gem of a little cottage. Sitting on the edge of a huge apple orchard with abundant wildlife around you, a pond is also within the grounds. The cottage is away from the owners home and the cottage is not overlooked, the owners are definitely not intrusive, but on hand if needed and left all a good selection of tea, coffee, milk, sugar, chocolate biscuits. which was a lovely touch. Within a few minutes drive of couple of small shops, but we went prepared with everything we'd need for a weekend break so we didn't have to leave and I'm so glad we did as when it came time to go home, we really didn't want to go. The cottage has lots of repeat visitors and we could easily understand why, we will certainly go back. "

"We had an amazing stay at this property. The views were spectacular, you could not get any closer to the beach unless you camped on it, and the local amenities were on our doorstep. From lovely walks, to dog friendly pubs and a quaint High Street, Hythe has it all! Griggs, the fish monger that cooks its catch, is a must - you will find it at the end of the promenade on the beach. Also, The Spitfire Cafe, which just on the way out of Hythe - towards Dymchurch, is a must for WW2 enthusiasts. Set in a mess tent, with music from the 40s and surrounded by memorabilia from the war years, Simon cooks a wicked breakfast. We will definitely be back."

"Following our stay at S10411 in Hythe last week, I must let you know how delightful it was. The property is magnificent, full of character and charm and in such a stunning location. The many individual and personal touches were very welcome and added to the ambiance. It proved to be the perfect setting for a family get together and was a truly happy week. Oh, to move in!!!!This was my first booking through Freedom Holidays as I have previously always had family connections in my home county of Kent. I am very appreciative of your whole service from start to finish."
