What our customers are saying about our Family Cottages In Lichfield District To Rent.

"We stayed here as a family of four, for a week in October and it was fantastic. I don't feel that the photos actually do the cottage, its facilities and surroundings full justice. The cottage itself is extremely cosy and warm (I didn't know what to expect from under floor heating but it was really warm) and had everything we needed in the kitchen with bed linen, towels and cosy blankets provided. There is a bath and a separate shower upstairs plus an additional toilet down stairs. Sky TV was a great bonus. There isn't a washing machine so families need to bear this in mind but there is a drying rack which we used for our swimming cosies. The entrance hall is nice and big with good storage for coats and shoes etc. The facilities were perfect, our boys made full use of the full sized table tennis table and pool table and the pool just next door, which we had all to ourselves (the shepherds hut which is also on the site was not booked out but this only sleeps two and is sheltered behind a hedge away from the cottage which keeps it private). It felt like such a treat and was so relaxing. It was easy to get to and find but feels remote when you are there and the living room doors open straight onto a wonderful view of fields and woodlands and there is very little light pollution so it was great to see the stars at night. The only interruptions were from the pheasants wandering past the windows in the morning. It is only about 5 miles to Uttoxeter which has Waitrose and Tesco (we got a Tesco delivery on the first night which saved a lot of hassle) and its well located for a lot of activities, we went to Jodrell Bank, Twycross Zoo and Splash World at Alton Towers, but there is also Sudbury Hall (National Trust), Monkey Forest, and Adventure Farm and Brewery tours at Burton on Trent, all close by. The cottage owners were really friendly and welcoming and have created a lovely holiday retreat."

"The children and I enjoyed the pool. This was the main reason for staying. We felt it could have been open longer than 6pm.Inside the cottage I was disappointed to see there was no dishwasher and I had to wash all crockery before use. The hob was useless as the dials had no indication if how hot the hob was. I spent a lot of time with them all at different positions moving pans around to cool food. Very frustrating.I noticed that this negative was on a previous review and still nothing has been done. A bit complacent. The bathroom was dirty and needs an upgrade. As there was lots of flies due to the horses in the field, maybe fly screens on the windows as this was another off putting feature.I would not stay again as felt that it was definitely overpriced and not worth the price I paid."

"Fantastic place to stay for our week away with the little guy and rest of the family. The pool added that extra piece of 'holiday' to our stay and was clean and heated. Cooking facilities and utensils were all catered for. Beds were comfy and it was very quiet at night time. Shower was hot every time we used it. The nearby road had minimal traffic and suitable for walking the dog on a lead. Within a mile, there was a public area to let the Dog off the lead to have a good run around. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and they were approachable if we needed anything. Only slight criticism for Peacock Cottage is the second bedroom is a bit tight for space. However, we got used to it after a couple of days. Would stay here again."

"Had a great time only wanted to have a chill out weekend and that's what we did we only had a short walk which was around 4miles, spent most of the holiday chilling in the pool and relaxing on the terrace. We normally travel with all our older children with their families so this would not normally be big enough for us but it was fine for this short break as we only took our daughter and her partner and her new 6week old baby, so this was perfect for what we wanted. We normally when travelling in England, Wales, Scotland we like to take our dog but unfortunately was unable to take her on this holiday."

"Was moved from S16876 the evening of our arrival to New Pastures a lower rated property. Awoken on Saturday with a sofa being delivered and texted at 22.35 on the Saturday evening to ask when we were leaving! Overall not a good experience. Property is furnished more for students than holiday rental. All reviews were accurate. Overall clean but cobwebs, stained carpets, handles of bedroom door, wardrobes you couldn’t open with backs hanging off, mouldy bathroom Lino and shower cubicle, done holes/damage to walls. Would not book any property owned by Tom Hartley again!"
