Claire & Max - verified booking
"I am not exaggerating when I say 'Out of this world'. We arrived on Good Friday for the Easter weekend. Our lodge was ready before check in time so we were allowed to begin our weekend early. We walked in and were overwhelmed by the size of the lodge. It is beautifully decorated and spacious and wowed us from opening the front door. My Fiance and I had the master room - this was truly outstanding. The bathroom is huge and again decorated beautifully. Our friends had the twin room and again was beautifully decorated. The views from the veranda are great and they over look the lake on the hill. The first day was a little cloudy but this didn't dampen our spirits. After unpacking we opened a bottle of Champagne as we were celebrating our recent engagement. We opened the hot tub and in we got. We stayed there for 5 hours! Anyway the whole weekend was amazing and we are already planning our next visit with our friends. Thank you so much to the housekeeper as well, she was always at the end of the phone if you needed her."

"A great base to stay for a break exploring the beauties of Suffolk and Essex which offer a holiday with something for everyone: a scenic coast and lots of pretty villages inland and historical places, including St Osyth Priory which is very nearby. Also great for walking and birdwatching. We didn't do that much sight seeing as we were here to see family in Clacton and Ipswich, but we enjoyed those places and visiting Mistley a very pretty village on the River Stour estuary, and St Osyth. The lovely owners who live next door were so helpful and friendly, and Bill even came around especially one lunchtime to help my sister -who was visiting for a family lunch-in with her wheelchair. The field offered lots of space for our little whippet girls to run around and have a leg stretch too."

"We visit this area at least once every year, usually at a local caravan park so this was our first time in a holiday bungalow so not to sure what to expect. After the very first day we all agreed that this was perfect for our needs, the bungalow was impressively equipped, very clean and extremely comfortable. Although situated perhaps a little way out from the local amenities this was not so much of an issue for us as we had use of our car, if anything this actually added to the charm as the area was so peaceful. All in all we have had a great holiday at S37103and would certainly consider rebooking in the future."

"S37103is a wonderful holiday cottage, very clean inside and all the modern amenities. The front garden/area is all paved so you can park off of the street. If you have any questions, Ray, the caretaker is only a phone call away and was very helpful and friendly. My daughter was ecstatic that there was wifi and it was very fast. The beach was only 5-7 minutes walk away. The bathroom (we're from America) was great with a nice shower with hotwater whenever you needed it, without having to worry if the boiler was on. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in the Clacton/Walton area."

"Bungalow offered everything for families with children or just for two people like us: Large TV, DVDs, Radio and plenty of reading material. The conservatory off the twin bedroom was a nice touch as you can relax with the door open to the garden and catch the sun with only the sound of birds for company. Everything was well cared for even to the maintenance of the property like external lighting which was very welcome. Beds were extremely comfortable and slept very well. I would not hesitate to recommend this bungalow for cost, convenience and location."
