"We have given a very low score for cleanliness as on arrival we found the cottage hadn’t been cleaned since the previous occupants left, beds unusable as bed linen was dirty and so were all of the towels. We were unable to unpack or to shower and spent our first night after a eight hour journey on the sofa and the chair in the lounge. We were unable to contact yourselves or the owner as there was’nt a mobile signal in Port Isaac. This was resolved the next day and a cleaner arrived about midday, she was most apologetic although she wasn’t at fault.Generally the standard of cleanliness we have come to expect having stayed in previous holiday rentals was sadly lacking. The kitchen cupboards were very musty, the cooker was greasy, the sofa and chair in the lounge were stained and dirty. Also there were cobwebs in corners and a number of faulty lightbulbs. The second bedroom was swamped by the bed therefore it lacked a set-up to get ready. The main bedroom lacked any storage or hanging space for clothes and we lived out of our suitcases for the entire holiday. As it is an attic room we realise space is tight but a chest of drawers would easily have fitted into the space taken up by a blanket box. Maybe hanging could have been fitted between the rafters. In addition a dishwasher rather than a washing machine would have been much more appreciated. Basic items were not provided eg. A cafetière, salt and pepper grinders were empty. No welcome pack on arrival either. Although the cottage is marketed as being dog friendly dogs are only allowed downstairs, this should be made clear as the lounge is on the first floor."

"We all enjoyed S20720 , the best part being it’s location although getting to it and parking was a pain. It was equipped well but thought the washing machine a waste of time and space as no where to dry any washing ? A dishwasher would be far more useful . We had a giggle each time the loft toilet was used as we had never seen one like these in action , so noisy! but hey better than not having one .We all struggled trying to close doors as none of them closed hence I suddenly realised the reason for big balls of rope door stops in every room , the only way sometimes to keep the doors shut . I got stuck in the main bathroom as the latch stuck ...again causing fits of laughter . We thought the cottage quirky , cosy and did feel at home , the only reason we wouldn’t stay again was that I didn’t take into account as hubby complained not much of a view, he likes to see the sea and enjoys watching life going on around , so that’s my fault . I wouldnt hesitate in recommending S20720 to others though, although I do think on reflection the letting rate was a bit high, but there again it was tastefully furnished , with nice quality items but it’s sad that others did not treat it like home as the covers on the most comfortable lounge furniture were a bit dirty in places , we tried turning them over but they were worse the other side . Oh the beds were lovely to sleep on , with nice clean sheets so in all , we did have a nice stay ."

"S20720 is pint-sized luxury accommodation in a distinctively charming location. Port Isaac is like some Italian fishing village reeking with allure. The listing says “dogs welcome”, but a more accurate descriptions would be “dogs welcome in kitchen”. The owners request that you keep any dogs contained to the kitchen and provide a baby gate to block of the rest of the property from them. Our dogs were not so happy to be exiled there during our stay (coincidentally, the command to punish my childhood dog was “Kitchen” which sent him off to his bed in the kitchen). The whole property is a bit squoze in. The second bedroom has a bed that is more of a one-and-half sized bed than a proper double bed. And even then it pretty much fills the room so completely that you can barely walk around it. The main bedroom is situated on the "top floor", aka converted attic crawl space. And crawl you do have to do most of the tie to get around it. It's 5’ 8” at the apex, but that means that most of the room is half that height. Still, my wife was pleased that I was forced to use the toilet sitting down. The property is beautifully decorated and maintained, and is located superbly in the heart of this great seaside destination, but be prepared for cozy accommodation at bedtime."

"A wonderful setting on top of the hill, with uninterrupted views across the ocean. The cottage was spacious and clean with everything you'd need to cook, clean and relax.Comfortable sofas, spacious dining table, oven, dishwasher, cutlery, crockery, good sized bathroom and comfortable beds. Dedicated parking space right outside the front door and only a quarter mile from the local Co-op.We stayed for 6 nights as a couple in November. We always felt warm and comfortable and the low season rates were very reasonable indeed. They are also dog friendly - we didn't have a dog with us but discussed it with the owner and they are very welcoming. Excellent choice of walks along the south west coast path. Port Isaac is a short stroll down the hill, or alternatively a narrow footpath snakes from just outside the farm entrance down the other side of the valley to Port Gaverne. We loved the rugged coastline, picturesque villages and welcoming attitude of everyone we met and definitely plan to return to Trewetha Farm.If you are planning a visit to the area, I suggest you do the same!"

"S45307 is a beautiful property, is very much a home from home. Has everything you need from washer machine/dryer to iPod docks and TVs! Thought it was a very nice touch we had milk, washing up liquid, washing powder and dishwasher tablets left for us and it wasn’t the small packets you get it was the big to last over a week! The house itself is massive, extremely tidy and honestly we could easily of moved into that house as our forever home. The bungalow is located at the top of port Isaac with a short five minute walk down to the harbour (warning. Very steep hill!!!) port Isaac is beautiful it’s the village where doc Martin is filmed. The village is still a working fishing harbour and has beautiful walks around to the next bay of port Quinn. The only issue we found was there wasn’t enough places to eat out in the village which meant we had to drive to nearby areas. Now this wasn’t a issue for us as we usually drive all over anyway when we visit cornwall."
