"Lovely little village. New farm shop 2 miles away which is great. Owners quick to respond and had kindly agreed to us arriving earlier ( 1.15) if we needed too.Cottage...Bathroom in need of an overhaul. Not able to use bath due to faulty hot water tap ( no water coming out). Strong unpleasent smell of urine coming from around toilet floor which could not be missed. Owners made aware of smell and problem with bath straight away ( not sure how the problems were missed by cleaner or owners when they were there just prior to our arrival) They came round promptly to try and fix but could not. They did not want to inconvenience us with a plumber coming out during our stay. Whilst they did come out and we agreed to no plumber, it did spoil the stay. Owners have arranged for tap to be mended and the flooring is to be changed. It would have been nice if a gesture of goodwill had been offered to acknowledge the inconvenice. Owners are friendly. They are making improvmemts. Wood burner in lounge is nice and warm. Although it does say that fuel and electric ( electric radiators and oven) is provided, you need to supply own logs and coal etc. Best get from farm shop. Garden is lovely and had the weather allowed we would have enjoyed sitting out in it. Would we stay again ? No. We booked last minute so choice was limited. Not fault of owners. Owners very quick to respond and are keen to make sure work is done."

"Clean and tidy but ……………… The bungalow was clean and tidy with a welcoming hamper. The beds were comfortable and clean. Showers worked well.To improve our stay we felt that a second bath mat for en-suite and two shower mats would be useful to prevent slippage. Also a simple clothes airer to hang wet items when unable to use the line would be useful.Having taken books to read there was insufficient light to read in the lounge with the standard up-lamps. However, there was a large selection of DVD’s. The main switch did not work in the lounge and the TV would work if it was connected to an appropriate aerial, already in the property. Alternatively, connected to a satellite dish for Freesat transmission.Unfortunately, the bathroom developed a leak in the ceiling, near the window, when it rained. We left a basin on the window sill which did the job.The large enclosed, un-over looked garden to the rear would have been nice to sit out if we had had the weather but was very uneven to play any ball / running games on. Nice to see the rabbits enjoying the grass and the other wildlife.Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

"lovely cottage and fabulous hosts, with everything we could need. Close to Ebbsfleet for a day trip to Brussels which was excellent, though I would recommend booking your tickets as far in advance as you can to get the best price, I paid £85 return for each of us, but have to say it was well worth it. To help getting around buy 24hr underground tickets when you get there as this lets you go all over the city. We would recommend getting the metro to Brosse and going to the Grand Place, include a visit to Hard Rock Café in the corner of the Place. Close to the A2 & M20 with so much to do in the area. Dover Castle is a definite recommend as are the war time tunnels, though be warned there is quite a bit of walking."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage it has all the amenities you could want although as a mum I would have liked a washing machine! It was lovely to sit in the conservatory in the morning and look out onto the gorgeous well kept garden and in the evening with a cold glass of wine. The most local pub is the crows nest Inn & we enjoyed a couple of very nice meals there it is about a 20 minute walk from the cottage. We can also thoroughly recommend Inkies smokehouse at golithafalls which was pretty amazing!!This is a fantastic base to explore this part of Cornwall and such a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of every day life and would highly recommend this cosy cottage."

"This is a lovely cottage in a excellent location in Ilkley. We had everything we could need within a very short walking distance and the view of the moor from our windows was gorgeous. The property is very well equipped and the bedrooms were incredibly spacious. The owners were lovely and popped in to check that everything was ok, recommending some nearby restaurants and a fantastic chip shop! I would definitely book this property again. As a party of three adults, this was a perfect place but a party of six might find the single bathroom on the top floor an issue, and the fact that you have to go out the front door to access the garden, if you have small children."
