"Excellent house in a fantastic location. Very warm and comfortable. The local people were extremely friendly and every dog walk along the prom and beach took a lot longer due to chatting to all the locals out with their dogs, made the dog walking even more pleasurable. The local lifeboat station is situated nearby and it was also interesting watching them launching on a training session which takes place every week. The house was extremely clean and nicely decorated and welcoming. My only slight criticism is a lack of furniture in the bedrooms. Only one of the 3 bedrooms had a wardrobe. One just had a double bed, a dressing table with 2 small drawers and a foldable bedside table. The small box room only had a single bed with a bedside table with 2 drawers (the bedside table however was not next to the bed but on the opposite wall next to a wall socket). There was also a lack of pans in the kitchen. But these criticisms in no way spoilt our enjoyment of the house and we would be more than happy to return in future."

"Our third stay at Stable Cottage so you might expect a positive review and you'd be right. A very enjoyable visit to our home from home (except this is nicer than home). A warm welcome from the owners and everything we need in a dog friendly cottage. Conveniently located near Driffield so access to pubs, restaurants, supermarket etc. Beverley is only 10 miles down the road too and York just 40 minutes away. For us though, the main benefit is the proximity to Yorkshire's dog friendly east coast. The beach and café at Fraisthorpe is highly recommended. We've been to the cottage in the summer months before so it was interesting to visit in colder weather. The chalk stream at the back was in full flow with plenty of wildlife to look out for. The log burner was used a couple of times and added to the cosiness of the cottage.10 out of 10 (local amenity score would be 10 if the village pub was open). Will definitely visit again."

"As a builder and landscaper, i have not had a break away for over 14 years, and i can say that i have never been so relaxed in such a impressive and well thought out dwelling,I have to say the area is of lovely surroundings and plenty of recreation a drive away. But i went for a recharge,....The exterior is wonderful along with the interior as well, Pictures do not do it justice i can promise you that,....The Interior is very well thought out and is well over the footprint you would expect for the price payed....Furnishings are of a high range end, beds very comfy, and the overall layout is 2nd to none,The place was spotless, fresh, and just ….well book and see, you will need transport i.e. car,...but if you just want to relax and forget the rat race then this place is a definite must.I have to say a Huge Thankyou To them both, so welcoming and part way through our stay asked that everything was ok,...…Thanks very muchFrank & Gail"

"we were informed on arrival that there was no curtain rail on the side of the bath but it would be fixed Saturday , after three phone calls and numerous txts and promises it would be fixed as we had a disabled person with us it was'nt , it was even suggested we should put towels on the floor to soak up the water, we had problems with the toilet not flushing properly and the sink in the bathroom would'nt hold water (there was no point in mentioning that because if we could'nt get the shower curtain fixed we were not going to get that done, the kitchen needed a good clean and fridge was filthy, in the living room we had to clean the inside of the window where dogs had been, for the amount of money we payed i would of expected better all in all the whole experience spoiled our holiday"

"Really nice location and very quiet. All you need is in the cottage and cleanliness reasonably good. Sadly looks like maintenance is required to get the cottage up to scratch.Mould in shower, Windows very dirty including patio doors, loose toppings on brick wall outside, porch outside patio doors leaking, old sat dish not in use still attached and many other bits and bobs that if sorted would make this an excellent option instead of just good.Tom was very nice and approachable as was his wife, just not a handy man I guess. Not to paint to bad a picture bed linen and towels very clean as was the furniture, we would not return as generally we like to visit different places, but would probably recommend the cottage as a option.p"
