What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In East Sussex To Rent.

"We had a super holiday; Brooks Lodge is spacious and comfortable, Susie was very helpful in attending to some initial queries we had, and the weather could not have been more glorious!3 minor observations:1. The Wifi worked very well on days 1 and 3, but did not work at all on days 2 and 4.2. The tea-making provisions were more limited than we have had at other RR properties – just 6 tea bags at the bottom of a tin.3. The estate where Brooks Lodge is situated is off a road which gets extremely busy at certain times of day. To travel to/from anywhere on the coast or to any shops (there are none in Piddinghoe or any of the other nearby villages) it is necessary to drive on this road and then on a one-way system through Newhaven. The road from Brooks Lodge to Newhaven and Newhaven itself were totally gridlocked from mid-afternoon until early evening on each of the days we were staying. The only alternative would be a longer route going inland via Lewes."

"UK was experiencing a heatwave with record high temperatures during the entire 2 weeks of our stay!. Brooks Lodge has many large windows/glass doors. It felt like an oven in the house. There was only 1 fan for cooling. There was no shade on the deck, no umbrella! We could only get 1 channel on the TV. The heat was intolerable both inside & outside the house. It ruined the vacation.I realize that these were record high temperatures for UK. However, I think Snaptrip should warn future summer occupants of this house. I personally suffered from heat exhaustion inside the property during the day. I'm sure all the RR properties were too warm indoors at this time but Brooks Lodge is almost all glass.Aside from this real problem, the house and location are beautiful. Indeed, I stayed there last year in cooler weather & found the place delightful."

"Both my wife and I, and the friends with us were very impressed by the property. We regularly stay in self-catering accommodation and Forge Cottage certainly ticked all the boxes as far as we are concerned. The kitchen - dining area was spacious and the area of work surface for food preparation generous. The living room area was nicely laid out and the settees comfortable. The audio-vision equipment, i.e. TV, satellite box and dvd player were fine and the broadband pretty fast. Both bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage/hanging space for clothes. The bathroom and en-suite shower room were well up to our expectations. Linen provision was excellent.All-in-all this was one of the very best properties we have stayed in and also very fairly priced. We are looking to return soon."

"As an interior designer I'm quite fussy where I stay and I love Brooks lodge, it's actually even more stunning than the photos. The lodge is very spacious, fantastic external terrace, private parking. The lodge is very well equip with all appliances and technology you should wish for. The extra little touches, flowers and welcome hamper really made you feel spoilt. The interior is beautiful, which makes sense as the owner is also an interior designer. Susie really cares that you're having a pleasant stay. Can't wait to book again and have already recommended to a few friends and family who will be booking too."

"Although we only went Monday to Friday, we made the most of the pool and our boys enjoyed the freedom of cycling round the park in the knowledge of them being safe.We didnt use go active this time due to our Son recovering from a broken arm, however the price of the activities were reasonable so we would definitely like to try them out next time. The only comment I would make is its unusual not to have a dvd player in the accommodation, so we couldnt use our films we brought with us.We all had a lovely time and look forward to returning."
