"I chose this place because I knew the area and the building, having at one stage thought of buying one of the flats there. The entrance to the apartments is dismal and dirty. The apartment is nicely appointed and sitting room and bedroom are nice rooms despite there being an over abundance of tartan. Flowers and a welcome basket awaited us which was nice. However, the bed was very uncomfortable and noisy as though springs had given way. In the lounge, the settee covers looked in need of a wash, but the worst bit was the kitchen which is shabby and in need of a visit from IKEA. An awkward shape but what shelves are there are littered with baskets etc so nowhere to put any shopping. The bathroom needed finger marks taken off the door, the bath is fine but the shower is hopeless. Also, the tv is temperamental and only really works using the iPlayer. The entrance to the drive down to the house is tricky due to the parked cars on the road. Having said all that, the owner was very pleasant on the phone and I imagine will put things right."

"Well, we have stayed in dozens of holiday let's in UK and abroad, are we are a picky bunch for detail, yes first glance it was quent and tidy, but closer inspection, we found things that didn't match the four star rating, lovely setting and cottage, but in need of slight upgrading and a deep clean,Beds had no headboards, double mattress springs dug into my back, not enough hangers in wardrope, tartan blankets had dog hairs on them sink in bathroom was insecure, toilet was loose, shower was not powerful enough, the bath had scratches from dogs been cleaned in bath, bath mat had dog hairs underneath, could of done with a extractor fan, every light fitting in flat had loads of cobwebs, all cushions had dog hairs on it, as well as carpets and rug, sadly Im allergic to dogs, the kitchen tap constantly dripped and leaked, the frying pans were not clean, quite cheap and disgusting, coffee machine didn't work properly, cooker was not very good had to use matches, which is not safe.It was a shame, if it was upgraded and faults fixed, I would return,"

"S87937 is spacious and well equipped, (very comfy beds!) and Andrew the owner was very helpful from start to finish. There are fantastic views across the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh and out to sea. We spent ages watching the ships coming and going or looking for seals and Dolphins, so take some binoculars! Car parking is just across the road and the railway station is less than 5 minutes walk with frequent trains into Edinburgh (40 minutes and £9 return) or north to Dundee and beyond. The beach is 2 minutes walk and located on the Fife coastal path so ideal for those wanting to wander further afield. Kinghorn has all the local amenities you need (shops/pubs etc) and Kirkcaldy is less than 10 minutes by car/train if you need more. We’ll definitely be coming back next time we are looking to stay in the area."

"The cottage was spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed our quiet and peaceful stay in a beautiful location. The minor irritations seem hardly worth mentioning but there were some, and they seemed out of keeping with the general high standards - half the mugs were badly chipped and so we did not use them, leading us to sometimes run out of clean mugs altogether; the pans with the white enamel linings were badly stained and we soaked and scrubbed them to improve slightly but we did think they ought to be replaced; we bought some things like toilet rolls and washing-up liquid rather than bother the landlord but really we usually expect to see extra supplies in the property. Overall, it was a great holiday. Thank you."

"We stayed at S87937 over the Easter holiday with our two dogs. There is an entrance at the rear of the property that leads straight into a utility and then into a lovely large kitchen that you can easily sit, relax and eat. The utility allowed us to dry the dogs off before entering the rest of the apartment, if that is a concern to anyone. The décor was very well done and even though modern was very homely. I would recommend anyone to stay especially if you have pets because the beach is opposite to walk the dogs. We even took them to the Auld House pub for a pint after a walk. Andrew the owner is very helpful and can make any recommendations if required."
