"The property is within an easy 10 minute walk to the centre of the village. We stayed for two weeks from 22.09.2018. Upon arrival the car was parked immediately by the front door. When we entered the property was pleasantly warm and as we made ourselves comfortable it was obvious everywhere was spotlessly clean. There was an extremely generous welcome pack including milk, wine, beer, biscuits and cake. The kitchen was adequately equipped and most things we needed were provided. There are three bedrooms and we opted for the double at the front with a very comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. The bathroom has both a bath and a walk-in shower (a bit small but adequate) and there was always plenty of hot water. With both Freesat TV and free WiFi we were able to keep in touch with the outside world. On a couple of evenings it went very cold so we decided to make use of the log burner and the plentiful supply of logs. The burner is very efficient and the room soon took on the character of a sauna!!There is a small garden to the rear and we were able to sit out on occasions when the sun shone.Drumnadrochit is well placed to explore the whole length of Loch Ness, the surrounding hills and glens and a local attractions. The village has a post office and store and other tourist attractions. Just out of the village to the south there is a Coop supermarket. Don't be put off by the outward appearance - it is a well stocked shop once through the door.We have only one small criticism and this is the level of lighting in the kitchen and living room. Being elderly and eyesight not what it was we would have liked a much brighter level of illumination. That said we would have no hesitation in staying there again and recommending it to others."

"S29087 was spacious, very well equipped, comfortable, warm and extremely clean. The owner had stocked the kitchen with milk, tea, coffee, bread etc., which was very welcome after an extremely long drive from Hertfordshire. There were even flowers in the kitchen and living room which made us feel truly welcome. The bookcase full of books ( including ones on Scotland), DVDs and games for all ages which were great for the odd day/ evening when we didn't feel like venturing out into the glorious Highland landscape. When we needed any information the owner was really approachable and couldn't have been more helpful. She even offered to give the cottage a mid holiday freshen up for us. The property is well stocked with extra bedding for colder evenings (we didn't need it as the duvets were lovely and warm) and towels, the latter being very useful for all the hot baths to warm up our time spent kayaking, sailing, climbing Ben Nevis etc.! The property was well situated for our two weeks in the Highlands with our two teenage sons doing outdoor sports and travelling around the central Highlands visiting various castles, forts and historic sites like Culloden, which really brought Scottish history to life for us. The whole holiday was a really great getaway from our usual busy life & work, and due to the comfort of the cottage, the fantastically clean air and stunning Highland environment we felt really relaxed and would definitely return."

"WE HAD ONE OR TWO 'FAULTY TOWERS ' ISSUES DURING THE FIRST FEW DAYS, BUT TO BE FAIR TO CHRISTINE ( OUR HOST ) AS SOON AS WE MENTIONED THESE THEY WERE EACH DEALT WITH QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY. SHE WOULD THEN CHECK THAT WE WERE SATISFIED WITH THE OUTCOME.IT IS WITHOUT DOUBT A VERY PRETTY AREA AND GLEN AFFRIC IS A MUST FOR ALL TO VISITCHRISTINE IS A VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL HOST, WHO WE CONSIDERED TO BE GENUINELY PLEASED TO HELP MAKE OUR STAY AS ENJOYABLE AS POSSIBLE. THIS IS A GREAT AREA TO COME TO FOR PEACE AND QUIET, OR FOR SOME EXCELLENT WALKS COUPLED WITH A GOOD MIXTURE OF WILDLIFE SPOTTING, WE CANNOT BELIEVE ANYONE WITH THESE AGENDA'S WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED.ONE FOOTNOTE TO ADD;MY WIFE WAS TAKEN POORLY DURING OUR STAY, I TOOK HER TO BEAULY FOR SOME HELP. THE PHARMACIST IN THE BOOTS CHEMIST WAS ABSOLUTELY MARVELLOUS AND THE LOCAL G.P. PRACTICE AND NURSING STAFF BRILLIANT. BECAUSE OF THEM, WE WERE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO ENJOY AN OTHERWISE GREAT HOLIDAY, I CANNOT PRAISE THEM ENOUGH."

"A great cottage in Drumnadrochit, situated 14 miles from Inverness. The cottage is very well equipped with all you would expect and need for a comfortable stay, and was cleaned to a high standard ready for our arrival. The central heating system worked well and took the chill off quickly, and we used the wood burner on cold nights instead, which provided quick and easy heating. The directions provided were easy to follow. The owners provided some welcome treats for our arrival including a pint of milk, biscuits and some cakes and cream. For the rainy days there is a DVD player linked to the TVs in the lounge and bedroom. The nearby Benleva Hotel is the local pub and provides excellent food. There are some walks nearby and the Highland scenery is excellent. If returning to the area we would definitely stay at a S59326 again."

"Welcome was warm and overall the owner was very friendly/helpful throughout. Location is excellent being near a number of scenic walks of all grades. Only drawbacks were no shower which I was aware of from the property description and the wifi could not be accessed in the chalet except by sitting outside on the steps. There are 2 chalets and I believe in the one nearer the owners house you can access wifi. Only other consideration is that the washer and dryer are located in a short corridor between the chalets which is fine as long as the other occupiers are considerate and don't have them on at 10pm! Feeding the electric meter was not an issue costing only about £6 over the week. There is a good shop in the village but the pub seems to have very restricted opening hours when I was there (October)."
