What our customers are saying about our Dog Friendly Cottages In Weston Under Lizard To Rent.
- Mrs Robertson, February 2018 - verified booking
"The ad stated that the property had a front lawned area which was PRIVATE with a hot tub and that the driveway was shared with the owners. Sharing the drive was not an issue, however the garden was NOT PRIVATE. This affected our holiday massively. The owners, neighbours and workers walked up and down the garden everyday with wheel barrows and garden equipmen (usually very early at 06.40) We did not feel comfortable or relaxed enough to use the hot tub or relax in the conservatorybecause of this. The property next to the owners is rented and the woman’s dog yapped all the time it was out in the yard and she kept saying “sorry, he’s a pain”. Leaving the property was froought with the problems. We struggled all week with the keys which were stiff and impractical. Leaving to get out of the back to take out car out meant walking through a neighbours garden, opening and closing a large steel gate and driving around a potholed path to get out onto the high street and if we left via the front entrance then we had to walk through a fatty smelling chip shop alley. The cottage itself inside was lovely and quirky and there was nothing that we needed for. The stairs were extremely steep as they are old tram stairs and this needs reflecting in the advertisement. Had this cottage been PRIVATE as advertised then it would have been a really different holiday. When you look at the pictures on line they are very deceptive, but the reality is that you have to walk off the high street through a number of other cottages to get to yours. The lady owner was very welcoming and polite."

"I am a 40 yr old male professional and I stayed at The S44407 riding center cottage for 7 weeks. It was an unusually long stay for a holiday let, and i know i was extremely lucky to have had this vacancy for as long as i needed. Its a real gem of a place. As a hub for exploring the UK or working within wolverhampton or surrounding area, you cant beat the west midlands. It is just far enough yet close enough to city centers, Peak district, lake district, try and see it all... I did. Plus its location within Pattingham is walking distance to a nice pub (the Pigot Arms), grocery, horses of course! and bridleway walking paths. Its a renovated old horse stable with loads of charm, a smart layout w comfortable furnishings. The bedroom is roomy and comfortable, new and clean bathroom, kitchen, flat screen TV's, Stereo, free Wi-Fi, freezer and separate area for the washer and dryer. The private garden out back is a mature retreat with lots of roses blossoming if you stay in May thru July. Its a very a special place and I'd stay again without hesitation. 10 out of 10 stars from me after 7 weeks, nuf said. The owners are very friendly and more than willing to help with any of your needs. I can't say enough how much this place and its owners made me feel at home despite it being thousands of miles away for me. Thank you Tim and Louise, I really hope we can share another glass again someday. Cheers!"

"The house was exactly like the photos showed and what we wanted. Sally was helpful in letting us have the keys earlier than 4pm and very knowledgeable about the area. Also showing how to get the best from the house, washing machine, heating etc.The reasons I marked the house down slightly is due to the noise of cars coming in to the main bedroom window, double glazing would help this. The road appeared busy for workers getting to work early in the mornings, busier than we were expecting.Previous tenants had not cleaned one of the pans in the oven so when we heated the oven up, this set off the smoke alarm, so can guarantee that was working. The second bedroom did not have much storage area. There were nice little touches like flowers and a pint of milk left which we appreciated.Across the bridge, 2mins away was the Woodbridge Inn who were helpful, dog friendly and served great food.Ironbridge was 2.5 miles walk away following the river and taking this route also lead you to the Tile museum (worth a visit). it was approximately 5 mins to drive so great to get to all the local attractions. This is the first time I have used this site but will do so again as found it easy to book and get what you expected."

"We are a family of 2 adults and 2 young children and We had the most wonderful and memorable time at S77519, from the moment that we arrived at this warm and cosy home we found it very well presented and to a very high standard. We have stayed in many cottages/homes over the past years and months and this place really has something special and it ticks all the boxes for us!It’s located on the grounds of Chillington Hall Estate and you will find that S77519 is very private with a long driveway that leads to the property set in an attractive land with woodlands. We loved the privacy aspect of this place, because it gives you the sense that S77519 truly is yours for the time that you spend there! The owners and team had made such a good effort to cater for our needs in every way with the well made comfy beds to the provided toiletries, DVD’s, books, kitchen utensils and good free wifi connection. We are planning to visit and stay at this wonderful place again real soon!"

"Wonderfully friendly and helpful owners. The hot tub was great. Bridgnorth is lovely with everything you need practically plus historical buildings/railway, amazing floral displays and a plethora of charity shops to peruse. We found lots to do in the local area with the children. We loved the cottage. The only drawbacks were a lack of drying facilities in wet weather (family of 4 plus hot-tub for a week = lots of washing/drying - replace washing machine with a washer/dryer ?) and the need for privacy in the house and garden. For child protection and modesty reasons, there need to be blinds/nets/privacy film at the windows (esp bathroom and garden room) that let through light but maintain privacy. The hot-tub and the route to it should also be screened off from users of the shared garden pathway. Apart from that, we had a perfect, relaxing week's holiday."
