"We stayed at The S20604 in May 2017 with a group of family and friends and our three dogs. We have stayed in Crantock dozens of times but chose The S20604 this time to accommodate a large group to celebrate a wedding at St. Carantoc (the gorgeous, ancient and friendly Church nearby). Frankly, I almost don't want to review it because I want to keep it a secret. We booked for the same time next year on the day we left! The house is delightful and quirky. The beds are comfortable (immaculate linen), the kitchen well appointed, the bathrooms well fitted. I have no idea why previous reviewers moan about electricity costs - eleven of us, showering daily, running the washing machine and the dishwasher - etc. was something like £50 for the week - great value we thought. Downstairs has beams which left their mark on all the taller people in our party but that was a small price to pay for such a wealth of loveliness. The views of the sea from the (fully enclosed and beautiful garden) and from the sitting room and balconied bedroom are to die for. The dog friendly beaches on either side of the house are stunning, CBay's bistro across the road serves great food. Kids surfed, dogs chased waves, grannies admired the views and ate cream teas at The Cosy Nook in Crantock. From 85 to 24 all declared it 'paradise' and ...it is."

"we enjoyed this cottage. it has enough space for our family of 5 (inc teens and young adults) and a golden retriever. the cottage was very clean and had most things we needed for a good stay. the Christmas hamper was fabulous and a nice touch. could have done with more seating in the lounge but we brought in a chair from the hall. bathrooms are modern and 3 toilets is always a bonus with teens!the pale carpets were a challenge to keep clean in a wet, muddy and windy week as our dog loves muddy puddles and racing through waves so we appreciated the outdoor tap and hose and we needed this every time we came in from a walk for cleaning dog and boots.Glad we brought lots of dog towels with us! the garden is not absolutely dog proof if you have a dog who jumps up on walls easily just to see what's on the other side! Our dog got out of the garden on the first day as there is a low wall at one end - no harm done as we supervise our dog at all times. Great to have a field behind the house for the early morning canine walks before breakfast.this house is a great location for both North and South coasts and as we enjoy going to both - the location was good."

"Overpriced, needs overall, few things broken or not working, we reported to reception and some things sorted but bathroom light didn’t get resolved, stained carpet, tatty kitchen cupboards/draws, leaking kettle which was replaced with a tatty travel version and took an age to boil, front door had issues too!Out doors had court yard, desperately needed weeding, washing hanger outside but no pegs, ironing board unstable, ironing board cover past its best so slipped off, only 3 dining chairs (supposed to be 4), pottery set had silly sized small bowls, blinds didn’t fit, frayed and you couldn’t reach the pulley without standing on a chair, no instruction for appliances accept cooker, double glazing blown, no welcome book for the cottage. On a positive note, bedding clean/crisp, welcome pack with basic groceries was a nice touch. The touch left for guests didn’t work but a replacement was provided by the gentleman on reception which we appreciated as we had dogs with us.However very disappointing, on the wall there was an old 13/14 Visit England tourist board certificate, we feel it’s a long time since the Farrier Cottage has been 4*"

"Amazing house with a fantastic view. Our part size was 13 and a baby. As we expected, Electricity cost us about £90 for the Christmas week in December 2015 with quite mild temps outside but we had plenty of hot water, did plenty of cooking in the electric double oven and were all warm and cosy inside. The only reason for a 9 and not a 10 in terms of 'comfort and equipment' was that we would have loved an open, wood burning fire and more powerful Wifi reach, this would have made the S20604 absolutely perfect! The kitchen was easy to use by a lot of cooks and helpers and eaters at the same time! The ceiling on the ground floor dining room is extremely low so beware anybody over 5ft 8inches tall!We feel extremely lucky to have had the pleasure of staying in a very comfortable authentic old cornish house and thank the owners very much for sharing."

"Set in beautiful countryside, surrounded by walks for the dog and not too far to walk to a nearby beach (not dog friendly though), this is the ideal location for a family holiday. The restaurant served breakfast, lunch and dinner - basic pub fayre but wholesome and tasty - and had a well appointed outside seating area. Falmouth is a small town and everything is within walking distance but there are some pretty steep hills so not for the faint-hearted. We particularly enjoyed playing on the pool table and my Partner and Son used the gym a couple of times. Sadly I didn't know there were tennis courts or I would have packed my tennis shoes and racquets. On the downside, the double bed was very hard and the TV a bit small for what was quite a large living area and the provided towels could have been a bit newer and fluffier."
