"This is an exceptional cottage with real character, the owners clearly have great taste and this is not your standard sterile holiday cottage. A real find for us dog owners who often miss out on the really classy ones! The super king sized bed is amazingly comfortable and massive with great views from the floor to ceiling windows, a treat in itself. The owners live next door but dont fear they will interfere, they are friendly, welcoming and helpful if needed but totally unobtrusive. There is a great pub just down the lane, very welcoming folk infact you are welcomed like a friend, no hostile stares here! Loggerheads country park is 1.5 miles away and lovely strolls in the woodlands and limestone cliffs. Things that may be good to know : Its in secluded location up private lane/track, can be narrow for a larger vehicle & steep-ish in places. The garden is not enclosed. The area is very hilly (stating the obvious here!) meaning all walks from the cottage are steep and you get a lot of weather! Its quite a drive to the coastal areas. Cottage well equipped and great wifi, only thing I didnt find was a hairdryer but I didnt miss it.We had a lovely stay in special cottage."

"Having scoured the internet to find somewhere to cater for a party of 8 my partner found this place, it ticked all the boxes and was reasonably priced too only costing £624 for a week but £35 of that was a booking fee which we were charged (might be an idea to book direct with the owner) . The kitchen is a good size with a large dining table, its fully loadd with dish washer , washing macine you name it its got it, the front room has 3 sofas which are a little dated along with the TV but this doesn't detract from how nice the place is. larger conservatory which gets lovely and warm in the daytime and opens up onto the garden which is also a good size and has views of fields. There are hens on site which you can get fresh eggs from for a nominal charge of £1 for six, the kids loved getting the eggs in the morning for breakfast, next door the owners have some cattle, mainly sheep and cows but if you ask them you can go onto the yard when they are there and see them. The bedrooms are of a good size with one having en suite , there are 3 toilets including the en suite so fighting for the bathroom wasn't an issue . Ample parking at the property and a well kept cottage."

"This cottage comes highly recommended. The situation on the outskirts of a caravan park could have been off putting, but it was so quiet and comfortable that you would not have known there were caravans about. Jan Waterhouse was the perfect owner who went out of her way to see that everything was in order and if there was a problem it was corrected as quickly as possible. The cottage was very comfortable with all the amenities necessary (apart from a freezer) - the bedrooms were great, bathroom and en suite very suitable. All in all a very enjoyable place to stay. There were plenty of places to visit - the coast being close and Snowdonia practically on the doorstep. My husband being from North Wales agrees that this is one of the more beautiful parts of the country (then he is biased!!) and I thoroughly agree with him - despite being disabled I was able to drive around and see all the sights. Can't think of anything negative to say about the place, but am sure everyone who stays at the S4747 will have a fantastic holiday."

"This is spacious and well appointed accommodation in a rural setting. Don't be put off by a "Street View" image of what appears to be a small scrapyard at the entrance to the property. This is only a hard working local garage on an adjoining site which caused us no problems. Try not to arrive for the first time in the dark. Access is along a network of narrow lanes which have their own charm, but could cause navigation problems. The accommodation is well equipped and spotlessly clean - a credit to its owners. For dining you have the option of a large dining table in the spacious kitchen, an alternative in a conservatory or outdoor dining at a table in a raised garden area. We were there on a blazing hot week when all doors were kept open, but the owners two collie dogs were amazingly well behaved. Never once did they attempt to enter the house and were lovely with our 11-month-old grandson. The property is a credit to its owners and we would have no hesitation in returning."

"On arrival we noticed a fusty damp smell all around the cottage, but it was really strong in the third bed room, on investigation there was mould behind the bed, the room was not usable and when the grand parents came to visit they had to book into a hotel. On the roof the owner had put some plastic and pallets to fix a leak. The beds were really uncomfortable and the owner had put two thin quilts in each cover so they kept bunching up inside the cover, there for every other day I was redoing the beds. Also the storage heaters had been turned off at the master switch so we had no heating for the first two nights (when we rang the owner he did tell us that he had turned it off and had meant to turn it back on but had forgotten, he did however have two heater brought round so as we were not cold for another night. It was a lovely cottage and location. The owner was very nice, it was a shame that we have had to give a negative review."
