"Annie’s Cottage is a very well equipped and thought out dwelling. It is ideal for a couple and a small to medium size dog. It is very clean with modern up to date equipment. There is a large modern shower cubicle rather than a bath, which suited us perfectly. The village is very picturesque with a small river running through it. It is tight for large vehicles, but typical for Devon. There are no shops or stores but the village pub, ‘The who’d have thought it’ is a jewel. It’s dog friendly, serves good food and has a selection of beers including guest ales. The staff are very friendly and obliging. The location is ideally suited for exploring Plymouth and the surrounding area, being just on the edge of Dartmore, it’s literally minutes before you are away from the tight Devon roads and onto the slightly wider but open moorland roads. There are also a number of walks from the Cottage, so it is possible to go car free if you wish. All in all an excellent choice."

"We stayed at Landscove House for my Mum's birthday, there were 16 of us ranging from 4 to 66 years old and the house and local area catered for all. The house is amazing, it is very well designed, we mostly used the main living area / dining area / kitchen, the kids used one of the smaller rooms for crafts and board games on rainy days. The grounds are lovely, the kids enjoyed exploring and the views from the top of the hill are breathtaking. Ashcombe is just down the road and is a typical Devon village specialising in antiques and is definitely worth a trip. The owners are on site and can recommend local restaurants and days out. The only downside was the pool was too cold, even on the sunny days it wasn't warm enough and it would have been nice to swim on the rainy days too."

"An almost perfect stay at Acorn Cottage. The location was great as we were attending a wedding in Chudleigh; only 10 mins away. As well as being nearby to pubs and local amenities. The cottage itself was lovely and big, and provided near enough everything we needed. We did however need an iron and later found out it was located in the games room; this wasn’t noted anywhere. Also, the wifi was not working for any of us, this may be because the router is not in the property? But aside from this, we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay (I slept like a baby, nice beds), we would recommend it and definitely return. Also the owner (who we did not actually see), was indeed very helpful over the phone!"

"This cottage was located in a pretty, secluded village with little traffic and with the sound of the Milton Brook nearby and owls hooting in the trees at night, it was very restful and yet very close to Plymouth and Tavistock, with lovely places to visit nearby including The Garden House and Buckland Abbey. Although there is a good pub in the village, there is no convenience store and we had to go a little way to find a newspaper, but this was only a minor niggle and we found the cottage very comfortable and with its three floors, surprisingly spacious - everything was spotless, easy to use, and clearly labelled - wish we could have stayed longer. The owners were very welcoming and helpful."

"The cottage was everything we needed for the two of us to enjoy a few days walking up on the moor and enjoying local National Trust properties. The bedroom with its delightful high ceiling, overlooks a stream with ducks and some chickens in a nearby garden. The bed is very comfortable and the shower in the generously sized washroom can be set to be powerful. Downstairs the cottage has been tastefully designed to provide everything we needed for our stay.We also enjoyed sitting out on chairs beside the stream at the end of the day..The parking place is very near the cottage and easy to use.Everything was just as we wanted, and we hope we get a chance to return."
