What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Crucorney To Rent.
Mr. L Evans - verified booking
"We were greeted warmly by the owner and given a tour. The dining table was already set for tea with 2 hunks of delicious, homemade walnut cake: A bottle of Cava awaited us on the sideboard in the lounge and the fire was laid in readiness for a beautiful roaring blaze. There was even a bottle of fresh milk in the fridge! In self-catering places I stayed before, I've needed to take all cleaning equipment, linens and towels. At S40190however, everything you could possibly ever need was already there. Incredible!! We were invited to discover the 1st storey on our own and to explore the gardens. Everywhere took our breath away! We were left open mouthed at the sumptuous bathroom, the fabulous bedroom and the grand, yet entirely comfortable lounge. As for the gardens, our discovery of the garden hideaway left us breathless with excitement. It's a perfect place to sit and watch the wildlife and appreciate the beautiful planting scheme. We were reluctant to leave after our short break and pleasantly surprised to "

"My partner and I stayed for a long weekend in November 2013 and we both have nothing but amazing things to say about our stay!! Firstly, S40190itself is simply divine! So quaint, gorgeous, traditional and welcoming. The log fire is beautiful and the bathroom and 4 poster bed is immense! Everything you could think of was provided - from milk and tea, to a hairdryer, towels, candles and logs for the fire! The owner, Gaynor James and her husband were so welcoming and we even had a bottle of bubbly and breakfast treats laid out for us on arrival! There are loads to do nearby - climbing Mount Skirrid, shops and local markets and of course the gorgeous scenic landscape for romantic walks and picnics. The Walnut Tree, a Michelin star restaurant is a short drive away and we had a delicious meal here and the Skirrid Inn Pub opposite S40190is great for pre drinks in a haunted venue. All in all we could not recommend this place highly enough - please do visit - you won't be disappointed."

"We have just enjoyed a perfect week staying at S40208. Our host was very welcoming and there if we needed her (we didn't see her until we handed the key back, there weren't any problems so we were able to have a quiet relaxing holiday). The cottage has everything one would need for a stay, there was also a welcoming tray with tea, coffee and Welsh Cakes, in the fridge was a bottle of milk. Views from the cottage were stunning. Pandy is ideally situated for exploring the Brecon Beacons and also Herefordshire. There are numerous walks available either from the cottage or a short drive from the cottage. Brecon is not too far away and a walk or cycle ride along the Brecon and Monmouth Canal is very rewarding. We would certainly recommend this property and hope to visit again. A few years ago we had a couple of visits to Cantref Coach House which is another delightful property. "

"''Perfect Stay” I can only echo the comments of the previous reviewer. This is a fantastic place to stay, with all you could need for a holiday break. We took advantage of the warm weather to sip drinks in the garden and even breakfast al fresco. As there were no guests arriving on our leaving day, the owners kindly let us stay beyond the standard departure time too. S40190is an ideal base for walking without needing the car to drive out - Skirrid, Sugar Loaf, Waun Fach, Offas Dyke to Hay-on-Wye, Llanthony Priory, White Castle - all in reach subject to ambition & capability! The Skirrid Inn on the doorstep is also excellent for character, service, beer & food. "

"When there were some small issues the owner responded very quickly, pleasantly and effectively. The description of the property said there was cycle storage, when I checked with the owner this meant leaving the bikes under the veranda. The area was well hidden and we took a cover and several locks and there was usually someone around however I do not think this warrants the description of cycle storage. There was internet available but because of the location it was erratic and often lost connection meaning it was unreliable. It was not a problem for us on this occasion but if someone was needing it for work then it could have been an issue"
