"We rented Densford for a week over the Christmas break. The cottage is well located, pretty and warm. However, the lounge area is incredibly dark only being lit by 2 low table lamps with no side tables for drinks which could very easily have been spilt on the floor. We had to bring down a bedside lamp and table which improved matters a little but still did not give adequate lighting to read comfortably. Likewise, the morning room area isvery dark and we had to move the kitchen table lamp onto the table just to be able to have a comfortable meal. For a winter stay, lighting is relevant and this could easily have been rectified by free standing uplighters and stronger bulbs. There is absolutely no cupboard space in the kitchen for dry storage so for our stay we had to move china and dishes from the only top cupboard so tins, packets etc could be put away. There is china provided but only 2 mugs and an assortment of smaller cups. All of the above caused us a good deal of frustration and inconvenience. One further point is that there is no hanging space in the 2nd bedroom so if both rooms are being used, hanging clothes all have to be kept in the main bedroom. I would also emphasise the steep stairs which I accept have been stated in the particulars. However, for safety you do need both hands free when using them and I would worry about children using them as a fall would not be broken. I completely understand thelimitations in staying in a traditional cottage but many of the above could be resolved inexpensively."

"The cottage was certainly up to usual Snaptrip standards. If anything, the property was 'under-sold' in the sense that the garden was much nicer than we were led to believe, having an excellent outlook at the rear and lovely seating areas with enough privacy despite being semi-detached. Proximity to Amberley Castle is also a treat: being able to walk there and back from a fine-dining restaurant on a fine summer's evening was a memorable experience. Perhaps that could also be emphasised (for those who enjoy top-nosh).The only reason for not giving 5 stars was an unfortunate flood we suffered due to a drain blockage. The owner was initially difficult to contact but soon put things right and gave us a nice consolatory gift."

"This quirky little cottage has been converted to a high standard and has had lots of thoughtful extras, such as the TVs in the bedrooms (ensuring the kids give Mum and Dad a lie-in!), comprehensive kitchen equipment and the tea and cake welcome. Having membership to the excellent and very family-friendly Farm for the week really opened up our options, especially on the rainy day and we would highly recommend factoring a couple of days here into your plans. Famand owners couldn't have been more friendly or accomodating. Thank you for a wonderful week :-)"

"Lovely well presented cottage which was surprising cool considering outside temperatures of around 30 degrees. Greeted by the owners who were very friendly and explained where everything was in the cottage.Lovely patio to sit and have breakfast. Bed and pillows very comfortable.Nice circular walk into Wisborough Green to visit the Cricketers Arms. This pub has a large food menu. There are also two other pubs close by for variety.Enjoyed our two night stay."

"Lovely cottage. Breakfast on the patio (and supper) highly recommended. The bridge (Houghton) good for pub grub - never made it to other local pubs. Arundel is a must see but Parham House also lovely for completely different reasons. A walk through Amberley Brooks is very interesting. Pulborough Brooks also good (again - completely different). Amberley is a beautiful village. Try the tea shop for 'heart attack' clotted cream teas - fantastic!"
