What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Cowes To Rent.

"The location and position of this property was perfect, for us at least. The panorama from the front window is wonderful, looking out over the Solent, with all the nautical activity that goes on there. As we were here in February there was not a lot of pleasure craft about, but there was the commercial traffic to watch, the container ships, car carriers (non of which fell over for us, thankfully), cruise ships etc. The apartment is really well appointed, with all the equipment necessary to make it feel like home. There was a review which mentioned lack of space for parking, but I think there has been some work done around the back of the property since that review was published as there was plenty of room for us to park our camper with ease. One thing you soon realise, as you make your way around the island, is that nowhere is very far away, although the roads can be a bit crowded at certain times of the day.The one thing I wished I'd taken with me was a radio scanner to listen to the boat traffic, but that's probably just me being nosey!"

"When we arrived at the property it was sunny and warm and having had a 5 hour drive plus ferry I wanted to relax with a cold beer in the sun and when we walked in my reaction was to open the balcony door to the fantastic view out accross the Solent and we was greeted with a large luxury cruise ship leaving Southampton. This place is a comfortable apartment suitable for two who want a quiet holiday without noise that other seaside places have. Absolutely love the place and will be booking again. Only two negative points one of which is nothing to do with the property and that was the weather changed to wet, cold and windy weather for a couple of days and this stopped the use of the balcony. The second negative point was that one of the upstairs residents was rather noisy and due to the construction of the building the sound echoed somewhat. We did not let this spoilt our holiday."

"The photo above is not of 268 Gurnard Pines - probably another property on the site. Gurnard Pines is described as a Holiday village but many of the properties on site are residential and some are needing some care and attention. We were advised that there was parking for 2 cars immediately outside the property. There was space for 2 cars but not solely for the use of the occupants so the space was not always available. Whilst the property was very clean and most things were in very good condition the only seating in the lounge area was 2 sofa beds - not always easy to get up from. There was only one small wardrobe in the main bedroom - nowhere to hang clothes in the other two bedrooms - which just had a chest of drawers. We were fortunate to have good weather which was good as there was nowhere in the property to hang coats etc."

"We thought that the cottage was both charming and beautifully furnished: a real home from home and we would love to come back again next year! The bathroom was particularly lovely and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The views from the upper floors over Southampton Water and the small courtyard garden were a real bonus. We were lucky enough to have great weather but, if it had been wet, it would have been quite cosy to have all 6 of us sitting down together in either the kitchen or the sitting room. As it was Cowes Week, it was very busy in the town and we struggled to find parking very close to the house at times but I would think it would be better at other times. It was a good walk down to the centre of Cowes where there are some great restaurants - but not so great going uphill on our return journey."

"The Boat house was a pleasure to stay in. It was all to a high standard, the beds were very comfy and it all felt very homely. We stayed as a couple with our two small dogs. The garden was great for them to run around in and with the wall all the way around I knew they couldn't escape. Just be careful with dogs that cam jump well as the gate is no higher than a metre but other than that very secure. The property has a beautiful view of the harbour, it is however a bit isolated on the East Cowes side but is a 1 minute drive or short walk to use the chain link ferry which takes 2 minutes to cross over to West Cowes where there are beautiful shops, restaurants and pubs all on the highstreet."
