"The lodge was poor, the only redeeming feature was that is was warm. The hot tap in the bathroom leaked which left the floor soaking wet. You can see this has happened before as the wooden skirting board has started to rot. We were not provided with toilet roll, and had to call up the reception to have some delivered. We were also not provided with a bin bag for the kitchen bin, and there was no oven glove to remove hot trays from the oven, so had to use on of our towels. The kitchen was poorly stocked with only 2 highball glasses (there was 4 of us), and one very small baking tray. A dishwasher is provided but no dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, or hand soap, and there was nothing on the website or booking confirmation advising we had to supply these items ourselves. The towels left on our beds were still wet (not slightly damp but very wet!) when they were folded and placed on our beds leaving damp patches on our bedding. We told reception about this the next day and they advised our beds and towels would be replaced, but all we got was a set of spare sheets to change the beds ourselves. We also had great difficulty finding our lodge when we arrived after dark. The signposts and numbers of the lodges (which are window stickers) would benefit from being illuminated in some way at night to help late arrivals find their lodges. One of our party used the swimming pool and other facilities and told us there were dirty nappies left in the changing rooms and the floor were terrible dirty. He did complement the pool, sauna and steam room."

"On our last night at this truest amazing cottage which is straight out of Beatrix Potter, but with a modern luxury feel . This truly beautiful place is ideal for everyone families, young professionals and mature couples. Ideally positioned with orchard views and all amenities to hand within a 10 minute walk. The cottage is just exquisite did not want to leave very lucky owners who if ever need house keepers and gardeners please just ask. The bedrooms and fittings are top quality and the open plan large kitchen is a wonderful haven for sharing a well deserved meal/BBQ with friends which looks out onto a safe and well planned large country garden, finishing the warm evenings off sat around the top end of the garden drinking a glass of Merlot whilst feeling the glowing earth from the fire pit.In the colder evening you can sit in one of the two lounges one with traditional stone floor and log burner . A real hidden gem in the beautiful hopefully soon to be heritage part of the world. Thank you for a fab week.No photos supplied as they could not justify this place try for yourself"

"Spent a week in this cottage and what a week. The cottage is beautiful and well equipped. The garden is large and and secluded. It's mainly enclosed but the gate would allow little dogs to escape. There's a fire pit a bbq, great features and wonderfully landscaped. The kitchen is spacious, bright and has everything you could possibly need. A downstairs utility room and shower is so handy especially if like us you have kids and dogs. There are two living rooms. One is carpeted the other has a hard flooring and a log burner, very practical and characterful. There are TVs in all the living areas. The bedrooms have nearly everything you need and all the showers are great. The only thing missing was a full length mirror. This must be the best rental cottage I have stayed in. It is a real quality place. It is also in a great location and easily accessible for just about everything. I would definitely stay stay in this property again."

"We have just returned from Sunny Corner lodge and it has been a lovely relaxing week. The lodge has everything you need and more. Great loaction on the park as it situated in front of the woods so it's great if you have a dog like we do for walks. Short walk from the lake which you can see from the front of the lodge. The club house on site was a little busy at the weekend but ease off during the week which served nice food and drink. The only down side to the site is it is very dark at night as there are no lights along the lodges when you are walking back from the club house could cause a problem if you haven't got a touch with you. The site is well situated between Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside. You can get a taxi if you didn't fancy walking for as little as £7 each way for 4 people which is cheaper than the bus as the bus is £3.50 per person each way. We would definitely return to this lodge."

"We stayed in10 Waterside wood (a Woodhow lodge). The cabin was dirty (there were splashes of the previous occupiers cooking on the kitchen walls and switches). The kitchen was missing a kickback meaning you could see straight under the floor cabinets at years worth of dirt. The outside veranda had parts of the banister missing which meant children and dogs could climb through and worse was it had aold rusty nails sticking out. The whole lodge smelt of damp so we had to buy loads of air fresheners and have the windows open the whole time. There was on,y one loo tool despite the cabin having two bathrooms. The outside windows hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. The list goes on.The pool was so busy you had to book 24 hours in advance. The park was in a good location but our aging cabin very poor value for money especially given that it was one of the more expensive ones."
