"This is a rural hideaway cottage, which reflects the eco-friendly aspirations of the owner, and has French windows opening onto a large area of private woodland, awash with bluebells (May) and birdlife. We were given a warm and friendly welcome and told that, if we needed anything, we just needed to knock at the door. There are no shops or pubs in the immediate vicinity, but there is a farm shop 10 minutes' drive away and an excellent pub in the picturesque (and much filmed) village of Chilham also about 10 minutes' drive away - we did walk to Chilham through lovely country lanes, but you need to set aside a couple of hours for that. It was a great base from which to explore Kent (there were plenty of relevant maps, books and brochures in the cottage) - our favourite places being Canterbury and its lovely cathedral, Whitstable and Faversham, plus the National Trust properties at Chartwell, Sissinghurst Castle and the White Cliffs of Dover. If you enjoy country lanes, landscape and nature, then this makes for a very convenient and homely base with adequate kitchen and bathroom facilities - and a very comfortable bed!"

"When we turned up the cottage wasn't ready due to a misunderstanding. This was quickly and efficiently dealt with, the owner kindly rang the local pub and stood us some drinks and bar snacks while the cottage was done. He then rang the pub to say everything was ready and then bought us some local beers and ciders. Lovely way to rectify a mistake so thank you very much Graham it was much appreciated. Was really impressed with the location of this place having wonderful views. The cottage is well thought out with lovely floor to ceiling windows to take in the beautiful scenery. Nice little kitchen with everything you would need. Comfy beds, nice bathroom, peaceful, and best of all dog friendly with wonderful walks around the farm. Would highly recommend this lovely place and will be returning."

"lovely cottage and fabulous hosts, with everything we could need. Close to Ebbsfleet for a day trip to Brussels which was excellent, though I would recommend booking your tickets as far in advance as you can to get the best price, I paid £85 return for each of us, but have to say it was well worth it. To help getting around buy 24hr underground tickets when you get there as this lets you go all over the city. We would recommend getting the metro to Brosse and going to the Grand Place, include a visit to Hard Rock Café in the corner of the Place. Close to the A2 & M20 with so much to do in the area. Dover Castle is a definite recommend as are the war time tunnels, though be warned there is quite a bit of walking."

"Our second visit to Church View after a break of some years but just as good as we remembered! Our host was very welcoming and friendly while respecting our privacy. We were staying during a heat wave but being open plan it was easy to keep the accommodation airy and comfortable. Lots of things to do walking, country houses and gardens to visit and both Chichester and Winchester were within easy reach for a spot of culture. Being open plan the accommodation was ideal for a wheelchair user and the wet room was superb."

"We had a very good holiday here .Last week in feb was very cold and the accommodation was very cosy and warm.To sit in bed and watch the sunrise was a real bonusAppreciated the welcome pack, and general unobtrusive helpfulness of the ownerSurrounding countryside was good for walking and sightseeing, in fact still more to see so we need to holiday here againIf I had been staying longer I would have moved the dining table further from the bathroom door, to where I was near the window"
