"Myself, partner and dog Lola have just come back from our holidays... and I truly can’t recommend it enough! We arrived late in the evening which Mike and Sheila accommodated for us, we had everything in the property which we could possibly of needed during our stay including eco friendly products.... Theirs even allocated dog towels and disposal bags, it has such a dog friendly welcome and accommodating. With being 5 months pregnant it was ideal for relaxing and exploring, all the furnishing were comfortable and clean... All the property was spotless and fresh, we had lovely scones which Mike and Sheila had given us alongside three sets of beautiful hand picked flowers! And just before leaving on our last day we was given two lovely bouquets to take home with us! We did endless amounts of exploring and adventures... Crow point was recommended by Mike which was spot on for Lola to be let off the lead and run freely along the sea without it being too crowded. Theirs plenty to do and some great places to eat. I would highly recommend going if you’re after a country get a away especially if you have fur babies! We will definitely be returning next summer! Thank you again Mike and Sheila."

"S58069 is a perfect holiday hideaway. The view from the floor to ceiling windows is spectacular and the peace and quiet is just what I needed as a break from my busy life! It was also perfect for my dog as he could wander about on the enclosed terrace before I was ready to take him out for the day. I took my time in the mornings enjoying breakfast whilst admiring the view and ventured out mid morning to visit Tarr Steps on Exmoor, Exmouth Beach and various locations on Dartmoor, all less than an hours drive from the cottage. Near by Tiverton has all the shops you might need for a longer stay, Cadbury Castle is within a short walk and there are also local walks to be enjoyed. The cottage is extremely well designed and very eco friendly. I did not need the heating on except in the late evening and there is a very sophisticated ventilation system which ensures fresh air circulates through out the building. The shower is also very powerful with loads of hot water. Mike and Sheila are really friendly and on hand for any assistance or advice required. All together an ideal rural retreat in the beautiful county of Devon."

"Came here with 4 teenagers so disappointed to find under 15s couldn’t use the pool without supervision. I feel this should be made very clear on the website, as it restricted us all. I wouldn’t have booked if I knew. The lodge was not very clean and I spent the first couple of hours sweeping and wiping down surfaces particularly the balcony area. The BBQ was filthy and unusable which was another huge disappointment. One of the bathroom locks didn’t work. They tried to fix it but didn’t, so 4 teenagers felt very uncomfortable using the shower and toilet for fear of being walked in on.The dishwasher was another feature that led me to book, but sadly the plates didn’t fit in it, so I spent time having to wash up which also wasn’t part of my holiday plans!Other than that we enjoyed the local area. The Tarka Trail was lovely and we had a great day cycling and seeing the sights.Overall we made the best of it but felt it was let down by lack of attention to detail and poor information. Great if you have small children but avoid if you have teenagers wanting independence."

"Perfect for large groups, well equipped with everything you need, comfortable, loads of space for everyone over the 4 levels, youngest at the top as the stairs are narrow but totally climbable and adventureous for kids, tv’s in all the rooms great for kids too and there is a bathroom and shower on the top floor so you don’t have to use the stairs in the night. We were two family groups including children and grandparents, and we never once felt crowded. The garden isn’t large but secure and big enough to bbq with a large outdoor seating area. You don’t need a large garden with all that beach on the doorstep anyway. Four walkable pubs of which a couple do takeaways and a hotel restaurant, Johns cafe and shop have everything you need. Welcoming from the start with the wine and scones, lots to do in the area or within short drives, a great place to stay and would recommend it totally."

"The Shed is a very comfortable hideaway nestled in a beautiful part of Devon. We wanted some peace and quiet with lots of country walks with our dog and this "piece of heaven" is the perfect place. The Shed has everything you could possibly need including jigsaws and books to read which was a lovely touch and an extremely large decking area all enclosed so our large dog had plenty of space to roam safely and the owners greet you personally with a wonderful homemade cream tea and a lovely welcome. Lots of nearby pubs that take dogs especially the fishermans cott where you can sit outside alongside the river or nearby Thornes farm shop where they do a tasty cooked breakfast. We had a lovely week here and would definitely go back. It was the perfect place to rest and recharge."
