"this is a well equipped and comfortable cottage, KS bed was very comfy and we slept like logs! On the downside there is no parking, which was a bigger deal than we thought it would be as we had dogs with us. Unpacking car was slightly fraught! Parking on the quay is actually over 5 mins down the road, rather than opposite cottage which was the impression we had from reading details. In the end we parked round the corner by school during the evening which was closer. Of the two showers the main bathroom one is the best, we found it difficult to keep a constant heat level in the en suite one. The back garden lawn area is up very steep steps so may not suit everyone. It was disappointing to arrive to a very cold house as no heating on until we set it on arrival, this would appear to be normal. We found it took quite awhile for property to heat up and were very thankful for the gas fire. The Castle pub was friendly and locals happy to chat, food was good, not just chips with everything! Avoid anything but main roads as we had quite a few interesting encounters with other vehicles. All that said we had a nice time but probably would not return."

"An excellent barn conversion. Beautifully maintained. All the equipment you could even need. The swimming pool/sauna/jacuzzi area is once more beautiful, a real plus for the property , the pool itself was our primary reason for booking. Hosts are very welcoming and on hand should you have a query. The village location is gorgeous -but somewhat off the beaten track. Lovely and quiet but narrow roads to reach it. We loved Dartmouth which is a few miles South - a picturesque quayside, I really enjoyed trying to crab, but the kids got a little bored as I was useless! If you like cream teas - I strongly recommend a visit to the tea room next to Dartmouth castle. Another fun day out being the Woodlands family fun park just a few miles from the cottage. Our 3 kids (under 8) all loved it. We were one of the last people to leave that day. Slides and soft play galore. I would go back to this area - it is very enticing. Loads of things we didnt have time to do - loads more beaches to explore. Boat rides to have etc."

"A beautiful holiday home with every possible attention to detail met and it far exceeded our expectations. Although both other properties were occupied we had a true sense of having the pool and hot tub to ourselves, a real treat. The owners could not have been more welcoming, and from the moment we arrived we had a real sense of being "on holiday".It is quite a remote location and the single lanes could be a problem for a non confident driver, and it's wise to do a good shop before you arrive, we ordered a Chinese from the Dynasty on our first night which was delivered to the door, we did a stock up in Totnes the next day and didn't need to visit a supermarket again.Highly recommended, the wi-fi was an added bonus for our teenage daughter!"

"If you’re looking for peace and quiet - this is the place for you. Cornworthy is off the beaten track but still fairly close, easy driving distance to large towns of Totnes, Dartmouth, Kingsbridge although narrow Devon lanes involved. Pub eateries close by. Property excellently maintained - good size swimming pool, hot tub etc. Dave and Jane make you feel very welcome and Dave involves the kids at animal feeding time - it makes their stay. We found a great little Restaurant in Strete, only 25 minutes away -the Laughing Monk - recommended, good food, friendly staff. Dog owners - ask Jane for dog friendly beach locations. Excellent day out had at Strete Bank. WiFi connection. Aug 2011."

"The cottage was bigger than I expected. Kitchen very well equipped. A pretty little dining room which one hardly needs as it's fine to eat in the kitchen. A pity the piano in the dining room was locked as the pianists in our party would have liked to play it. The sitting room is very pretty and comfy. But we couldn't get the DVD or video to work (but who cares?!) There are 3 bedrooms on the first floor and a 4th on the second floor. All very pretty and with good bath or shower. Garden at the back bigger and prettier than I imagined for a cottage. Big spider in the summer house! What's his name? Not much mobile phone signal or internet connection, though I see that as an advantage!"
