"I have stayed there twice this season and had wonderful times both times. Everything is there at the cottage you could possibly want and need. Only one thing missing a vase for flowers ! A minor thing, so I just took my own. Because it sleeps three it is a great place for a single person to holiday with friends, which is exactly what I did. I stayed with family from Yorkshire there, and last week friends from New Zealand there. I am a local girl who loves Wendover anyway, but they all loved it. So many walks to do from there, depending on the rain of course, and enough restaurants in Wendover to eat at a different one every night. Although everything is supplied for cooking at the cottage which we also did several nights. Thank you a wonderful place, but I don't want to tell many people !"

"Beautifully modernised 19th century cottage, very tastefully kitted out with all mod cons. Wendover is very charming, though hardly traffic-free, and the Chilterns are absolutely beautiful & a walker's paradise (at least until HS2 arrives). The cottage wouldn't suit the less able-bodied, with bedroom & bathroom on different levels, necessitating a somewhat hazardous night-time visit to the loo. The walls are thin, so it's possible to hear the next-door neighbours thundering up and down the stairs, not to mention two disagreeably yappy dogs. The "welcome pack" is a pint of milk, although the (overpriced) Tesco Express is 100 yards down the road. Although there are clear disadvantages, as above, the accommodation is of impressive quality overall."

"lovely cottage and fabulous hosts, with everything we could need. Close to Ebbsfleet for a day trip to Brussels which was excellent, though I would recommend booking your tickets as far in advance as you can to get the best price, I paid £85 return for each of us, but have to say it was well worth it. To help getting around buy 24hr underground tickets when you get there as this lets you go all over the city. We would recommend getting the metro to Brosse and going to the Grand Place, include a visit to Hard Rock Café in the corner of the Place. Close to the A2 & M20 with so much to do in the area. Dover Castle is a definite recommend as are the war time tunnels, though be warned there is quite a bit of walking."

"The Lodge was ideal for touring outer London, we visited many attraction all within 10 miles. It is very comfortable, private and surrounded by a beautiful garden all within a secure location. It has quick and easy access to major road for those wishing to travel further. This is the first lodge we have stayed in and is as good as any small cottage. If we were to visit this area again this would be our first choice."

"The cottage was very clean and very well equipped. My husband has difficulty with stairs where there is no handrail and the main staircase has no handrail on the top section. As the bathroom is downstairs going downstairs in the night was a problem. There are a number of steps within the house too. If you have no mobility problems and you don't mind a downstairs bathroom then this cottage is ideal."
