"A stunningly decorated and beautifully clean little home, perfect for a couple. We chose this property partly because of the 'vibe' it gave off - and we weren't disappointed: world photography and artefacts from Jason's travels adorn the house and bring the flavours of South East Asia / South America right into Kent! The kitchen is very high spec and it was a pleasure to make meals in there. Both bedrooms are beautifully calm and I went straight home to de-clutter my own as a result! The location is very quiet and one could easily sleep in for hours with the good blackout curtains - much-needed for world-weary Londoners...The garden is also very pretty and provides nice nooks and crannies to sit out with a book and glass of wine, although it was a little too cold for that in our case.Jason could not have been more helpful as a host, meeting us on arrival, showing us how various things worked and giving us ideas of local places to eat and visit. We ended up having a great pub lunch at The Lion in the very pretty village of Farningham, and visiting Hever Castle. If we were to return, we'd combine with a visit to Royal Tunbridge Wells. There is no DVD player (that we could see) so do bring a laptop if you're looking to stay in and watch movies. Thanks a million, Jason!"

"We had a really lovely stay at S13769. It is in a beautiful area, really stunning scenery and locationThere are great walks and a lovely village walkable from the house with a shop, nice restaurant etc.The area has brilliant walks, cute villages and a lot of things to see and do, yet is an hour by train or car to London. Great for exploring. The view from the house is green and very pretty indeed, the living room opens onto countrysideThe owners are lovely people and really helpful. They helped us with information before our stay and were great during it too.The house itself is in very good condition. The kitchen has everything you need and was even stocked with a few essentials when we arrived. The house was all very clean and well kept. The only note of caution, which is on the advert, is that the stairs are quite steep. It is only up one floor to the bedrooms, but if you had very small children or bad knees it would not work for you. Otherwise we could not recommend the property more highly."

"Cottage is decorated stylishly and has a lovely garden. It is well equipped and the owner is welcoming and on the other end of the phone if you have any questions. He made us feel at home and was really nice to the dog.Stairs are steep although nothing the owner could do about this and parking is difficult as the property is in a very narrow street - Jason have you thought about getting the curb dropped and making the front garden into a parking space as your neighbours have done - this would make all the difference to our opinion about staying again.Cottage is 5 minutes walk from decent local pub and corner shops. Although it is in a country location it is only a mile from the town centre of Swanley where there is a wide variety of the usual chain stores and access to trains and M25."

"A spacious cottage which needs updating. The sofa and chairs are very old and not very comfortable. We did not try the double bed but the two beds in the second bedroom were very hard. Some of the kitchen equipment i.e cooker, washing machine and fridge/ freezer have been updated and the kitchen equipment, crockery ,cutlery tea towels etc although old was clean. We were there when it was very cold and although we were plenty warm when we overid the programmed heating it did not come on until 8.30 and went off during the day. The cottage was adequate but could be so much better. We booked it for the location which was perfect for what we wanted."

"We would have appreciated better directions. We never did find J1b on the M25 as directed - plus the instructions to turn in to Hawley Road were misleading as it had a Different name for the first mile or so. We have no satnav. We would also have liked more info on public transport in the area. The bus stop outside the property had no information whatsoever. We made use of the very good train service from Farningham Road Station into Victoria on several occasions.Other than those grumbles S13659 was a very quirky, warm and cosy place to stay."
