What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In City Of Newport To Rent.
Family from Llandysul - verified booking
"It was in the perfect area for our needs. A short walk through beautiful Bute park to the city centre. Comfortable & quiet with all that was needed in the kitchen and lounge & bedrooms. If we return in the warmer months I'm sure we would use the patio. The walk through Bute park to catch the boat is an easy way to visit the Bay. We recommend the Bayview Brasserie, in the evening and The Potted Pig for Sunday lunch. The best roast dinner ever! Afternoon tea in the tea room just inside Bute park gate (Pettigrew Tea Rooms) comes highly recommended. For people watching a coffee at the cafe by the foot bridge is a must. Castell Coch & Caerphilly Castle to visit. Next visit must do Cardiff Castle, so much to see, need a day!"

"<strong>The property is down hill towards the valley.</strong> It is very peaceful and the outlook is lovely. We had our Son, Daughter in law and grandchildren. come part way through the holiday. They loved the animals and collecting fresh eggs from the chickens. If visitors want to see the Castles in the surrounding areas. Then go for a Cadw admissions Ticket, we took the 3 day one. The total cost was £27 for the two of us, we visited 5 Castles. It would have cost us a lot more if we hadn't been told about this ticket. I would like to say thank you, once again, to Best of Wales for their very efficient service and wonderful directions, how to get to the property"

"The apartment was comfortable, clean and modern. The owners gave us a warm, personal welcome with clear written information covering everything to do with the apartment and lots of advice about where to go, what to see, and how to get there. It was a five minute walk to bus and trains, but also there was lots and lots to see and do within walking distance. The view of the bay from the bedroom window is stunning and ever changing, and the balcony catches the evening sunshine, of which we had plenty. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, and hope to be back soon to see all the sights we didn't have time for."

"We had a lovely week in a beautiful cottage, which was warm and comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The owners, Vanessa and Ian Hobson, made us very welcome and could not have been more helpful during our stay. We were delighted with the surrounding countryside and have plans to return at some time in the future. We found the whole booking procedure with you so easy and straightforward and would certainly recommend you to others wishing to holiday in this area. The only downside was the weather, which is always a gamble in the UK."

"Fabulous location with plenty of things to do in the local area - I particularly enjoyed Black Rock Picnic Site and Caldicot Castle. S49702 is comfortable and has everything you need. I was pleased to find Sky TV access as that’s unusual in a holiday home and it came in handy on one particulary rainy day. Sadly I didn’t get to meet the hosts Faye and Paul but they were very helpful with recommendations for walks, shopping etc. Thank you for a lovely stay - it was a much needed break and the perfect place to get away from it all."
