"Comfortable cottage with a very friendly and helpful owner. There is a good level of equipment. The cottage is really quite hard to find as there are no signs whatsoever on the road to indicate where S67669 are to be found, nor even which is the farm where it is placed. When one does happen on the right property by trial and error, there are no signs or indications of any kind to show which build is S67669. I txted the owner in advance and we also rang the numbers provided but the owner did not reply to let us have arrangements for arrival so we had to just leave a message suggesting an arrival time and hope she would be there, which she was. No claim whatsoever is made that the cottage is in a scenic location but prospective renters should be aware that it is in a stable yard surrounded by farm buildings which are all that can be seen from the windows. I was warned when booking the the advertised wifi might not be wholly reliable but I mistakenly took this just to be a matter of the renters covering themselves. In fact, I was never at any time able to access wifi from the house and had to go into the yard to get a signal. When booking, please be aware that the smoke detector on the landing goes on every time you have a shower, necessitating standing on a chair at the head of the stairs to switch it off. The cottage is very well placed for visiting attractive local market town and the many historical sites in the area."

"steve and sue was amazing hosts they made sure we had everything we needed and more, I have never experienced this level of hospitality from the moment we was on the train they were in contact to find out what time we would reach as they said we could enter the property before 4pm which was awesome as sometimes with other homes you would typically have to wait and by then you would be tired especially if you came from far on public transport, they also messaged us the night before to find out our dietary requirements in case we were veggies as they prepared a lovely hamper (the best one we've had so far),steve also gave us a lift into town which was appreciated as we didn't drive, when we arrived it felt like home to the moment we left (we really didn't want to leave) it was a truly relaxing place we was planning when we wanted to come back already hopefully in the next few months , we will definitely reccomend to friends and family,a lot of thought has gone into making S50076 high spec, warm, squeaky clean, no bugs or spiders ,amazing refreshing shower its just pure perfection, a must see/stay, thanks to steve and sue x.Gregg&Jade."

"Difficult access to property on the brow of hill and on a busy road, on first approach the small gap in the middle of the dual carriageway was not easy to use and potentially quite dangerous with the volume of traffic on this road. The overall view and first impression of the yard in front of the barn was that it was untidy and the garden needed attention.During our stay there were also workmen at the main house cutting tiles. This surely could have been rescheduled to avoid any annoyance to visitors especially as there did not seem to be any visitors before us.It could be difficult to heat the barn in the winter months especially as there was a a charge for extra wood, firelighters and kindling. This are usually included in the price in our experience. However the equipment in the cottage was of a high quality, oven dishwasher etc and the bed was very comfortable. The seating in the living room was not very comfortable. We had a good break in the Forest of Dean which is just on the doorstep."

"The location of the property is excellent for visiting all tourist attractions in North Somerset...nowhere is more than a 30 minute drive (as long as you avoid the M5). The property itself could use an update in the majority of rooms. Only one of the 3 showers works to a standard worth getting wet for. The kitchen was my biggest bugbear. Why have a table which seats 12/14 people when the house can only sleep 8? The table is MASSIVE and takes up far too much of the room. The other issue I had, apart from the general cleanliness of the place (which was pretty abysmal), was the lack of a tumble drier. Personally, and I know that I'm not alone in this, I have not hung clothes out for more years than I care to remember. Fortunately the weather was good but there is no doubt that I didn't use the washing machine as often as I would have normally. The person who looked after the house and we saw more or less every day was very pleasant to deal with."

"A beautiful holiday home close to all the local amenities and places of interest in the area. Beautifully clean and well equipped and a great base for exploring the area. We especially liked Puzzlewood and the Breacon Beacon waterfalls. Accommodation is above a shop so would not really class it as a cottage if that is what you are looking for and the outside road is quite busy even though not a main road. However if you are looking for well maintained and equipped accommodation in a central location close to all local places of interest and places to eat ( the food in the tapas bar was delicious as were the local fish and chips from the shop opposite) this will be ideal for you. We would stay again and recommend to friends."
