"My Mum and I had a fabulous time at S83808 and would love to return in the future. The cottage is clean and comfortable and it is obvious that it has been lovingly restored. After a day out we loved sitting in the small garden which was a suntrap. The hill to the seafront is very steep but my 80 year old Mum managed to walk back up it most days with a few rest stops along the way! We used Oyster Cabs when she didn't feel up to it. It would be useful to have a shelf in the shower cubicle to put toiletries on as you currently have to put them on the shower floor. Also, as per a previous review, the welcome pack should include details of what can be put into the recycling bin as this differs all over the country. The location is good for getting out to see other places along the Gower coast and we also enjoyed a coastal walk to the bays of Langland and Caswell. The parking space at the cottage is a rarity and a Godsend! All amenities are very close once you get to the front with numerous places to eat and drink. We recommend trying the pasta specials at Verdis, Tapas at the very relaxed Croeso lounge or La Parilla for meat or fish dishes. The cafe by the pier is good for lunch as is Castellamare overlooking the Lighthouse. All in all a perfect holiday!"

"Location was very good and the cottage was comfortable. However, the cooking utensils & dishes were not sufficient if cooking for self. The washing machine dispenser drawer needs a good clean, as does the door. It was so grubby that we could not use it. The ensuite to the double bedroom needs a deep clean. There was a build up of "gunge" around the bath, the shower screen, the shower holder etc. The amount of debris that fell from under the toilet rim when I used the toilet brush was nauseating. Indeed, it appeared that the owner had forgotten to clean the bathroom prior to our arrival: There was an empty, dusty bleach bottle on the ledge next to a dusty bottle of bathroom cleaner. I cleaned the basin myself. The bin had not been emptied.. amongst other things there were used and discarded sanitary items. ...This is the first holiday let we have used where there was no toilet roll left for initial use. There were few if any instructions regarding equipment - microwave, oven etc. An impressive magazine rack contained out of date brochures. Many of the local information leaflets were several years old. Overall we did not feel welcome..it was as if the owners were just interested in hiring the cottage."

"The apartment at Langland Manor was beautifully appointed, the furnishings etc were all of a very high quality and all the little extras on arrival were very much appreciated...bara brith, bowl full of fruit, milk and juice etc, etc.The kitchen has no window and as we had such lovely weather could be a little hot, also quite dark. It was very well equipped and this is just a comment not a criticism. There are coastal walks in both directions from the bay, and the surrounding area of the Gower peninsula is beautiful. We visited the Langland brasserie several times, for an early evening drink, lunch and dinner...there was a great atmosphere there with locals and tourists frequenting seemingly all day.In hindsight we should have taken some folding chairs as the only seating in the shared garden were bench seats in full sun most of the time, a bench style picnic table and "stumps' around a fire pit...all very good but not for my elderly Mum, who has mobility problems and has to avoid too much sun. We did move the bench seats into the shade for her, so we managed with what was there. The view from the lounge and second bedroom is lovely...just to sit and watch."

"Beautiful upside down property making the most of the views.we were 4 adults and a dog and it didnt feel cramped at all. Managed to just park 2 cars, SUV in garage and a small car outside but it was touching double yellows so be aware. Parking just up rd though if needed. Well equipped internally and very comfortable beds, lovely furniture through out and loved the electric chairs. Stunning area. Lovely little veranda with beautiful views of the coast although I was wary that the flooring on it looked a bit precarious. We found the whole place lovely and clean except the bathrooms not quite as scrubbed, but clean enough not to be concerned. Some light bulbs out in kitchen area 3 out of 4. we found 1 bulb but it was either a dud or theres something wrong with the actual lighting in there anyway, sorry forgot to report this before. All in all we would definitely go back, its lovely. Owner helpful when we spoke too."

"Glyn,Sue and daughter Caitlin could not have been friendlier. We took our 14 year old daughter and her 2 friends and had a fabulous 4 days helping to feed the newborn lambs and walking in the beautiful countryside. The cottage was really cosy and very well equipped with all the comforts of home including a toasty log burner and Glyn and Sue have obviously put a lot of thought into the decor of the cottage. We could not have found a better base for our stay. It was lovely to stop and chat with Sue and Caitlin every day and learn so much about the rigours of sheep farming. .. they obviously care very much for their flock. The site is ideal for reaching the many attractions and is a peaceful haven to escape the hustle and bustle of London. A little care needs to be taken driving up the narrow lane to the farm but we would thoroughly recommend a stay here to anybody...we will definitely be returning."
