"Overall we had a pleasant stay but there are some pretty major updates required to this property in order to make your stay better than "OK". The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well equipped (apart from the broken can opener - luckily we had a swiss army knife!) and it was great to have a DVD player. The location is also great for walking and the view from the deck is stunning. However, the sofa is beyond worn, had several rips and collapsed in many places making it awkward to sit on and not terribly comfortable. None of us used the downstairs shower because the room was freezing (no heating). There is a large patch of damp on the ceiling in the lounge which is not very appealing. Also, I had to clean the grease off the tiles in the kitchen when we arrived as it had not been cleaned very thoroughly and the vegetable tray in the fridge was broken. This property is cheaper than others on the site but we all agreed that next time we would spend a little more and stay in a different property. If this property was sorted out and some attention given to it we would maybe consider staying here again."

"Wonderful bolt-hole in amongst nature to have a family golden wedding celebration involving three generations. Homely and well equipped. The temperatures were hitting 30C so the welcome ice in the freezer was thoughtful. We especially liked to hear the water flow outside on the decking, the birdsong, a duck with ducklings go by. Bats and swallows by evening. Lots to do on site - green space, swimming pools, plenty of space to enable our three year old to safely cycle, child play area and chickens too! Ample history and quirky a short drive away. Peaceful with plenty of options for families.Owners communicative and helpful towards the stay. We slightly struggled with navigation on site on arrival after a long journey, maybe photos of landmarks like the gates would help weary or disoriented travellers."

"The cottage has very old fashioned decor and gives the impression of being tired and unloved. Just small things but the windows were dirty on the inside and out, the microwave grill did not work so we had to eat out and the hot water was so hot it could have scalded you. It says pets allowed but is certainly not pet friendly, every time our dog wanted to go out we had to put her lead on and walk her along a quite dangerous road no mater what time of day or night. (something that should be made clear in the booking details). There was no where to sit out where we could relax as the garden area was not secure allowing our pet to wander around and the table was in front of the owners window which was intimidating. The location is good if you are visiting the Cotwolds."

"Bakery Cottage was in a lovely setting and we enjoyed our stay in the area. The lack of an oven and full size hob would have been an issue for us if we were to be cooking in the cottage. We mainly ate with friends that live in the area but would have been more difficult if we were eating in. We appreciated being able to take an extra dog, that the owners kindly agreed, however felt the £25 per dog charge for 3 nights be excessive. I am not sure that this is set by the owner but more likely by the agents as a standard fee. We didn't meet the owners as they were away but did meet the son and a neighbour who was feeding their cat and all very friendly. Be aware the lack of parking could be an issue but we managed fine. Overall I would recommend this cottage for 2 people."

"The Cotswold Barn is a great place for a group to stay in. It's set in a beautiful and peaceful location, being able to watch wildlife at close quarters was a bonus. Plenty of walks are accessible direct from the Barn and there are great pubs around 2 miles away. The Barn's location is good to explore NT properties, wildlife centres, the Cotswolds or just chill out. There are steps leading from the main living area down to the bedrooms and the mezzanine, the TV/snug, has steep stairs. The kitchen could be better equipped for cooking and the Barn would benefit from being warmer in the cooler months."
