"When we arrived at the premises S57587, it was blowing a gale and raining. However when we entered the premises there were electric storage heaters installed, but they we not switched on. The only other heating was an electric convector heater on the wall in the bedroom! Also, there was only a thin summer quilt on the double bed, and no additional bedding in the premises. When the owner arrived at 6:00PM, she stated that we could not use the storage heaters as they used too much electricity! Instead she offered a small oil filled electric radiator, and a winter quilt for the bed! We then found that there were no instructions for the bath shower, and the plug in the bathroom since did not hold the water in. As a result, we had to wash in the kitchen sink! The toilet seat was loose, and when you flushed the toilet it flushed twice by itself. There were no coat hangers in the wardrobe, so coats and shirts could only be hung on the back of the front door at the bottom of the stairs. The kitchen equipment was basic, with only essential utensils, the light over the cooker did not work, and was replaced by a battery light, but the batteries were dead! Need I say anymore! As a result of the cold accommodation, and the other points above, we have left the premises this morning. From the initial response by the owner I did not bother to raise these points with her."

"S79973 is a hidden gem. This was a last minute booking in August to visit family, and there were not many properties available. This property was fully booked except for the week we wanted so we opted to choose it, albeit it is in an area we were not too sure about. We are very glad we did. The cottage is very comfortable, containing everything required (including 2 excellent T.V.'s!) The garden here is such a bonus, a really lovely area to sit out and for the dog to explore. On street parking was not really a problem, we usually managed to park next to property, or nearby. I walked the dog in the local cemetery not far away. It is vast, dog friendly (on a lead) lots of paths, and and trees, and many interesting gravestones. Dog bin at entrance. The Minster promenade is also very attractive. Dogs welcome by the beach huts to swim and walk off lead - shale beach and footpath. We would definitely return."

"The location is brilliant. Peaceful. We stayed at this cottage in 2014 and it was excellent however 4yrs on and it is looking tired. Patio is full of weeds and the garden furniture had better days. This is a no smoking property but the chimnea was full if cigarette ends. BBQ was dirty. Inside there were big black cobwebs over the ceiling and velux Windows. By the time we left we had weeded some of the patio and cleaned the chimnea and BBQ out. We also cleared the cobwebs. The inside is looking tired and needs a lick of paint. The toilet flush was not working great when we arrived and we were using a kitchen utensil to press the flush. By the 4th day we were using a saucepan to fill with water to flush the toilet. We did contact the housekeeper and a plumber came to have a look on the day we left. This cottage is a lovely little gem and it's a shame because it's now looking unloved."

"As we took our two dogs it was well positioned next to the country park for walks and exercise. I failed to notice there was no enclosed area for them on the details. The barn conversion is cute but the white wooden floor boards are noisy and with gravel drive entering into the barn this was a challenge to keep clean. Decorated in a charming way particularly if you had 2 small children to sleep in the cupboard room which had fairy lights. I do not think it is suitable for dogs. Well positioned for London. Very pretty position but not sure what it would be like in the summer being right next to the horses and with limited ventilation. This is a central cottage of 3 and beware that the walls are very thin."

"A lovely cottage in a stunning position. Well equipped and very comfortable with good access to local amenities. Not as secluded as I had hoped for as there were building works next door so works vehicles went by quite often. There is also a caravan park next door so people are walking past the bottom of the garden. I took my dogs and they loved the huge garden and field but it is a shame that it is not secure from the access road. Lovely walks though and the cottage is easy to keep clean, light andvery warm. The views are stunning and it’s a real bonus having all that outside space. Lots of rabbits, squirrels, birds and foxes right outside. Lovely to watch. We had a very enjoyable week."
