"It could be fantastic with a few adjustments. In both the twin rooms upstairs only 1 of the skylights had working blinds. And the windows that did have blinds, the blinds were light coloured so didn’t really do anything to keep the light out. My children were up with the sun every morning and so were we. I booked the cottage on the premise that there was WiFi available. It was definitely one of the main criteria when we were looking for accommodation. We have small children who go to bed early and we wanted to watch films on the computer. Also, they like to relax with their kindles after a busy day exploring. Unfortunately, there was no WiFi available in Goose Cottage. I really feel that this cottage cannot be advertised as WiFi enabled and feel quite angry that it is not as advertised. We asked the vendors and were told they had someone coming Monday. There was still no WiFi when we left. On the other hand, my children thoroughly enjoyed feeding the animals everyday and the owner was lovely with the children. Very patient with the thousand questions asked. I feel quite bad with the low scores as most things were great, but our main criteria wasn’t sufficiently met."

"The location is really special, with great views just a moment's step out of the front door. Great walks on the doorstep, nice pubs in town and had an excellent fish dinner at Coast restaurant there too. The interior is comfortable with nice furniture and decor, everything we needed for doing laundry and entertaining ourselves in the rain - board games etc. Was a bit worried about the fog horn but it wasn't as disturbing as we first thought, the brain tunes it out! A couple of points to mention are: that the fridge is a little small for 8ppl, while the freezer is enormous; while there was washing powder, there was only one dishwasher tablet (another thing to have to pop out to get!); no info on recycling, we had to figure out how to do that ourselves as we didn't want to simply put recyclables in rubbish; and no wifi - we didn't want to use it much but became a problem as we had 2 'emergencies' when we needed to get online and signal is bad."

"Myself and my partner along with my 2 teenage daughters spent a lovely week at S101301 at the end of August. We were unlucky with the weather when we arrived but this gave us the chance to totally unwind in the cottage which we found very comfortable and contained everything we could possibly need- a real home from home. We all found the beds comfortable (although the double was very creaky) the living room was cosy but my favourite room was definitely the kitchen. The quiet location was exactly what we needed, living in the suburbs of Manchester it was welcome relief. The nearby village of Camelford was disappointing so we ventured to Wadebridge for supermarket shopping. We found Trewalder to be a good base for our days out to Tintagel, Boscastle, Port Issac, Padstow and the Eden Project. All in all a very relaxing holiday which even 2 stroppy teens enjoyed!"

"Goose Cottage was amazing! Pat and her Son Alastair were lovely people, very welcoming and friendly on arrival - nothing was too much trouble. The cottage itself was lovely and clean with all of the equipment we needed for our family holiday. The garden areas were lovely, Pat fed the animals each morning and the children (and adults) were able to join in the fun!The facilities on site were great - a lovely garden area with bench just outside the back door, the pool, the tennis court and a playground which the children in our group loved. Plenty of fields locally too so you could go for a walk in the day or evening if you wanted to and enjoy the views of the sunset. We'd highly recommend Goose Cottage and the other Cottages at Quinceborough Farm. We had relatives who stayed in another at the same time as us and they loved it too!"

"This is a lovely cottage. The living area is very comfortable, spacious and tastefully furnished. The outside of the cottage is quite charming and the garden is very pleasant. A delightful and exciting feature of the garden is that you can open the gate and find yourself in the beautiful grounds of a fine country estate. The welcome hamper was indeed welcoming, containing homemade items, which were all excellent, particularly the lemon cake! There are some areas that could be improved. While the en-suite bathroom was very modern, the other bathroom is rather dated. The mattresses in the twin room could do with being replaced by some better quality ones and the knives in the kitchen need sharpening. We really enjoyed our stay. It is an excellent cottage in which to unwind and it is in a great location."
