"S78767 is one of the highest quality cottages we have stayed in for almost 40 years. A great deal of thought has gone into the planning and execution of this delightful conversion of old farm buildings. The highest quality materials and fittings have been used throughout, and it is warm and comfortable with underfloor heating which may be individually controlled in each room to suit personal requirements. There is also plenty of hot water throughout the day and a wood-burning stove in the lounge for those cold winter nights. Cleanliness is of the highest order. It is well equipped for two people, with a modern ceramic hob and fan oven, good quality appliances, utensils, crockery, fridge freezer, washer/dryer, and a dishwasher. The decor and furnishings are modern, high quality, comfortable, and very pleasing to the eye. There is the latest connected flatscreen tv and a reliable WiFi connection for your online needs. A gravel-covered parking area at the front of the cottage in the farmyard provides room enough for two cars. Also there is easy access to the M4 at junction 17, which is no more than 10 minutes away. The farm is surrounded by the wonderful North Wiltshire countryside with opportunities for walking and a pub lunch in one of the nearby villages. The owners are very warm and welcoming, and also very helpful should the need arise. If you wish to stay in the area around Chippenham I would strongly recommend that you give this cottage a try."

"A lovely cottage overall, although I question its suitability for pets due to the owners keeping a variety of livestock on the same site meaning dogs can only go outside on the leash. Also the garden is neither enclosed nor private as it is used by the owners to access their animals. That said the animals are lovely and very watchable. The downstairs area (which is basically one, huge open-plan room) is really lovely and luxurious throughout with a utility/cloakroom as well.Upstairs is built in the roof space which brings the usual height constraints in places (most notably the en-suite bathrooms). Also I found the wooden staircase just a touch steep and slippery. The kitchen is lovely with very usable equipment and the wi-fi access is first class which is rare in holiday homes. Also the TV is large and can be used to view your own satellite accounts eg Amazon Prime etc which makes a very pleasant change from the usual tiny TVs found in other cottages I’ve rented.A very relaxing, laid back atmosphere which is what we were looking for so a very successful holiday ensued."

"We had a pleasant stay overall; the rooms were comfortable, the hot tub was very pleasant and the location was perfect for our requirements. However there were a few fittings which didn't work on our arrival, which impacted on our stay. The temperature control of the shower in the main bathroom was broken so it was impossible to shower as the water was too hot to touch, which meant all 5 guests had to use the en-suite shower room. Whilst we could manage, this led to some inconvenience for those who wished to wash off the chlorine smell after a hot tub session in the evening, if the friends in the main room were already asleep. An issue with the extractor fan in the kitchen made it deafeningly loud when turned on, so we made do with not using it; this was a minor inconvenience as we wanted to make full use of the cooking facilities but were a little restricted because of this. Both of these issues could not be resolved during our 4 day stay which led to the staff agreeing to a partial refund of our booking fee after some negotiation."

"After returning from a fab week at S13695, we would definitely stay again, and plan to in the near future. We are a family of 5 all ages and loved every minute of this place and location. The family who own S13695 were very friendly and greeted us with freshly baked cake on day of arrival. We loved the coming & going of the children and the day to day running of the farm. The surrounding area was very pretty. The Foxham inn was close by and within easy walking distance. The local shop was alot further away. S13695 is a perfect holiday home for a family and we will going again the the summer next time, as the snow this time was drifting along the roadside. Will look forward to the summer flowers and a different feel. I would recommend S13695 to all my friends for a lovely home from home holiday."

"We felt the cottage was very tired and run down and in need of a good clean up and upgrading. There were a lot of Cobwebs and several spiders visible in the cottage and were shocked to discover that behind all the beds were a mass of cobwebs which we immediately set about hoovering up as best we could with limited access. We noticed that there were no comments made within the last month from previous guests which was unusual. The owners were very pleasant and helpful but as we were unwell we did not feel well enough to raise our concerns and needed to return home early. We hope this review will be helpful for other guests and serve as a useful prompt to the owners and this review is nothing personal."
