What our customers are saying about our Child Friendly Cottages In Staffordshire Moorlands To Rent.
Dave - verified booking
"Got off to a bad start, I booked early to avoid price rises only to have the price reduce by £40 before I paid the final amount 10 weeks out but I was still expected the old amount, I can understand with a few weeks to go but the reduction was 15 weeks in advanced. It was comfy and well equipped, the Sky was a nice touch though it was a shame it was connected to the internet which give a best experience. It was one of the best Studio properties we have stayed at.Real downside was the access to the property, restricted drive, narrow roads and a school meant it was a nightmare trying to get to and from the property we seemed to catch school time every time and the parents didn't seem to have a brain cell between them just blocking the road unnecessarily. It was easier to walk the half mile to the chip shop than get the car out, that how bad it was.The speed cameras that were round every corner got very wearing"

"A huge holiday house with lots of room for our party of six. We never felt on top of one another due to the space in the house. The owner provided everything you could possibly think of, with more than enough towels for our week's stay, plastic plates & cups for children and full Sky TV. Huge, comfortable beds and a lovely big dining table which we often sat around with a glass of wine! The house is only a 10 minute walk into the town and around a 25 minute drive to Alton Towers. We've booked several houses with Sykes before, but this was by far the best."

"Had a totally relaxing time at S16046, the owner was away but he still called us from holiday to say hello. Welcomed with fruit, biscuits and a bottle of wine, lovely touch. The cottage has applied the appliances you need, plus there are local shops, pubs and a great mexican restaurant. We took a walk along the canal between Cheddleton and Froghall (5 1/2 miles), then caught the steam train back on the Churnet Valley Railway, fantastic walk, nice and flat along the towpath.Would strongly recommend for a couple who want to relax and get away from it all."

"An excellent stay in a clean and comfortable converted barn. Lovely rural settings, with plenty of dog walks through fields, streams etc. Well tended (and dog safe) garden enabling sunshine and wine whilst watching hovering kestrels. Fresh eggs available from the adjacent farm. Well placed for Cheadle, Alton Towers, The Potteries and the legendary Les Oaks. Play areas and bar walk-able at the nearby camp site. Many traditional pubs in the area. Helen was a warm and accommodating host, we'd love to return."

"One of the cleanest and well equipped cottage we have stopped in. Christine was very helpful and left us a lovely hamper also one of the best every thing you need for a good start to your holiday. The next door neighbor was also very helpful in letting me have one of the items I forgot to bring as the local shop is a few miles away. The locals down the pub made us feel welcome with a go old sing song on a Friday afternoon. The car porch is great with double gates so we could let our dog out."
