What our customers are saying about our Child Friendly Cottages In Scotland To Rent.

"This cottage helped us to make the decision to never rent a holiday cottage again and go back to hotel accommodation in the future. Our first impressions were favourable as it all looks pleasing to the eye, but the beds are unbelievably uncomfortable, which caused us to have to get up at 3 am with aching backs and go lie on the sofas instead. The water is not hot enough for a bath, so only showering is possible, but when the bed has made your back hurt, a hot bath would give some welcome relief. The shower tray I tried using didn't have an anti-slip mat and no shelf for the soap or shampoo and I considered it to be dangerous. The door locks are very difficult to lock and unlock and the back door only opens half way. The crockery has seen better days, with the glazing badly scraped by previous users and we considered the plates unhygienic to use. We went home a day early because we were fed up of feeling uncomfortable and tired through lack of sleep. This cottage was the straw that broke the camels back!"

"Our holiday was very nice. The location is great, in the middle of the nature. That is what we loved. Also the owner was great. He came immidiataly when the heater did not work. We got another one. He took us up in his own car to hear and see red dear and red grouse. He is so nice. The cottage is small, very old. What we did not like was the bed. It was too small for 2 persons. There is no reiception of 4G, telephone, wifi or television, but we get use to it. We read a lot of books. It was great to experience. And...after a few days we liked it.My husband is disabled, he can manage in the cottage. Maybe a ramp at the grass will be fine."

"This is a lovely comfy place in a fantastic location. It has everything you need and is close to Newton Stewart ( just a mile walk along the river!) but is also in a wonderful countryside location next to the river. The views are stunning. Within a short drive you are in Galloway forest or on one of the many beautiful beaches. The whole area is full of amazing wildlife, we saw red squirrels, red deer and red kites! Also peregrine falcons and an osprey! It is so unspoilt with quiet roads and empty beaches. The owners of the cottage are friendly and very helpful with suggestions for places to visit."

"Hen hoose lovely location pubs not within a mile more like 2 you can walk to but not the best at night the only 1 down side with the accommodation was the settees there 2 but the very narrow from front to back became uncomfortable after about a hour of sitting on them apart from that very small thing lovely place would stay again owners nice pleasant people as so are there children very dog friendly as the owners taken there time to make a path which is well maintained the grass is short and a nice walk to the river at the bottom we’re theres rabbits galore running around ."

"Bengali is a marvellous holiday house in an excellent location close to the A75 which connects so well to the beautiful scenery of the Dumfries and Galloway area. The ground floor facilities were important for my elderly mother, but the claim to have 'some disabled facilities' is a bit tenuous. None of the showers were suitable with no grab rails or trays to hold shampoo/soap. The house is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen/dining area is amazing! and the decking area at the rear is lovely in the early morning, particularly as our weather was great."
