"What a beautiful garden and gite, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We explored by bike which was easy enough even for me as hills are only gentle. Pool is gorgeous, although it is COLD. The house is comfortable, but notice the ONE loo, and that is off the sun lounge, where people sit to relax indoors. House and garden unsuitable for young children (open stairs, pool is unfenced and pond hidden under plants ) but great for older ones and adults. The scents in the garden are amazing. There is always some shade and protection from the wind. Beware towels provided are on the small side for British tastes. Super kitchen capable of producing huge meals for large parties. Lovely double sized shower and king size bed recommended for comfort. Hope to return some time. Great places to visit within half hour drive if you get bored with sitting by the pool."

"Beautifully situated with a large lovely garden and a great pool. Traditional French house just 200 metres from the centre of the lovely bastide town of Monsegur with all amenities (including TWO boulangeries) a short boring stroll before breakfast – this is the life! Lively market square has a Wednesday evening outdoor feast not to be missed and a traditional market on Friday mornings. The house is a bit dark and old-fashioned with a rather strange layout, it being divided so that the owner can live in one part of it. The decor is full of fascinating furniture and knick-knacks – the facilities are not very modern, though there is a large flat screen TV with French stations. All said, we would definitely stay again as the place is very relaxing and Josette and Pierre are a lovely, welcoming couple."

"Lovely Typically French Cottage and Annie that looked after the Cottage was lovely and helpful. They had late leavers the day we arrived so the pool wasn't clean but Annie sent someone around straight away and he was also very helpful and quickly sorted the issue. It was lovely and clean and comfortable with plenty of equipment for cooking and BBQ's.It was a lovely location and safe for us to take our morning 10KM run around the local area. There was plenty to visit within an hour or so but we spent a lot of time relaxing at the Cottage, taking advantage of the pool and the quiet location. The only issue we had was something nesting in the roof which kept us awake a few nights. We found as we were leaving this was Squirrels. We would definitely stay again."

"We do not go back to the same place, hence we wold not book again.Monsegur a lovely place although the restaurants were not open Sunday (expected), Monday or Tuesday. You will not find cordon bleu cooking although restaurants OK. Beautiful countryside around.House splendid with a wonderful garden and pool. Owner does not speak English but her partner does. Very helpful and accommodating and we were greeted with cake and good wine. Pierre certainly has an interesting history. For oldish people, we could have done with a downstairs toilet!A perfect place for a peaceful and restful holiday. The local wine that we tried was excellent and cheap in the restaurants at 12 - 16 euros for "best" quality.Recommended."

"We booked Chez Hirondelles from the luxury range and having booked holiday accommodations from this range before that have been amazing, we had high expectations. The owners are lovely and extremely accommodating. Unfortunately we found that the cleanliness was somewhat lacking with quite a lot of dust. Another issue we found was that the cottage was very damp. It was very apparent as soon as you entered the property from the smell and there were signs of black on the walls in most rooms. With two young children we did feel this was a bit of a health hazard and not quite what to expect from an accommodation within the luxury range. The outside space and the pool area are nice and the views are stunning."
